Horrible! I made an appointment over 3 weeks ago at the 8th Ave office only to find out when I arrived this morning that there was no appointment. Huh? The gals at the front desk have always been arrogant and uncaring to the older patients as was the one this morning. Do I need to call them every day to see if I still have an appointment because their front area staff is so incompetent?? This is the 3rd time they have done this to me so Dr. Smythe, you lost another patient and you can bet I will tell everyone I know how bad your office is. By the way, your Foothills staff is the same as 8th because they were trained there. I know you make tons of money and probably don't care either, but you need to revamp your office staff and fire them all and start over with compassionate people. Also, your physician assistants are always up selling unnecessary tests. Once I clued into that, it was interesting to watch them trying to make their monthly quotas at my and my insurance's expense.

Very short and always trying to sell his weight loss product which is mostly phentermine instead of real medicine. After a while I have to switch him as he seems more like hustler than being a doctor. He will ignore my main reason for visit and go to being a sales man. My health was detreating. So I have to find a new doctor. I will not recommend him at all.

Mandy is great and very caring as well as her MA. Dr Smythe has obviously only employed the best. I look forward to many years with this practice as my PCP. I have never had a long wait, thank you for your kind service.

Seen within 10 min after checking in. Staff is friendly and polite seems they enjoy their job.

Its rare to go into a doctors office and see them on time. With Dr. Smythe I have never had a late appointment. The detail of the visit is excellent all tests are reviewed with me and explained. He is on top of issues with my health and refers me when he feels I should see a specialist. The staff follows thru with issues and I never feel I'm being looked at as less than important. I enjoy him as a doctor and trust his decisions and advise. We are lucky to have his services available to us.

Horrible experience, ordered tests I didn't ask for or approve

Dr. Smythe is the best personal doctor I've worked with. He intentionally underbooks so that patients can be seen in a timely manner & lets established patients get in right away when they're sick instead of waiting a week or two. His staff has always been able to provide me with copies of my labs and records when I've needed them and have done so with a smile. I recommend Dr. Smythe and his office to all of the new employees at my place of work or to those who have a doctor no longer covered by our insurance.

Made mistakes on RX instructions and dosage resulting in wrong dosage. When questioned. He did not address the issue but later received letter in mail stating our standards were higher than he could provide and refused to continue on-going treatment.
