Very pleasant visit very nice people at the front desk and Dr Bloom is truly a professional at what he does .

Everyone in Dr. Bloom‘s office is professional and well informed regarding anything to do with dermatology. Carmen and the other ladies at the front desk are always extremely helpful, particularly when trying to fit a patient like myself into Dr. Bloom’s busy schedule - even at the last minute - if the situation warrants immediate attention. Dr. Bloom listens very well, asks very precise questions when he needs to know a bit more information about a patient’s particular skin problem, and he always has an extensive grasp of all things to do with skin conditions and such. Oftentimes prescribing medications for both external and internal healing.I highly recommend Dr. Bloom and his entire staff.

Just horrible people. Their sideways comments and the pure fact that they want to just push my partner away when we just want to get a cyst taken care of. Even after explaining that he had the nerve to say to "go to Kaiser, I always get the doctor I want. Well... I guess it's cause I'm a doctor it gets me more pull."

First time in the office, so far the visit went well. The next times really mattersgetting into tje healing process. Checkback with me. The doctor was pleasantseem to know what he's doing. More will be revealed.

My experience with Dr Ernest Bloom was excellent. His a very caring Doctor and I was able to get an appointment today. I needed to see him for an urgent appointment. I was very lucky that they had one slot open at 1:40 pm. I would highly recommend Doctor Bloom to anyone who’s looking for an excellent skin care dermatologist. Extremely rude physician and staff!My dad had an appointment and the physician not only was he rushed, but he talked down to us and didn’t look at us, but when he gave me the rx, he was not looking and dropped it on the floor. No sorry, nothing, my dad picked it up.The lady at the reception was on the phone when we arrived and my mom said “hi, we have an appointment “ . The receptionist told her in a very annoyed tone “I am on the phone now, wait” . I can understand being on the phone with someone else but you can say nicely ‘I’ll be with you in a moment “ or something along these lines, acknowledge the person standing in front of you and not act annoyed with patients.I am surprised they are still in business with those attitudes!I really don’t understand how those patients give them 5 stars, maybe it has something to do with the kind of insurance people have? My dad has Medical and this is why we were treated this way? I would be curious if any of those happy patients have Medical as well?Not going back, for sure!

The team at Californa Skin Institute, Alameda, could not have been better. from the front desk, to Dr. Bloom, service was great, and they managed to get me in early when there was a cancellation. highly recommend.

Dr. Bloom is very knwledgeable, efficient and friendly. his staff is also super friendly and efficient. not fancy, just gets to the issue and solution. will refer to them again should i need further care for sure.
