We love Dr. Wallach, one of the hardest parts of leaving the Bay was leaving behind the perfect pediatrician. Dr. Wallach is breastfeeding friendly, advocates for what's best for the parent and child and as a first time parent she made me feel less overwhelmed. Honestly i'm crying while writing this because we miss her so much!
Love, love, love Dr. Wallach. She has been my daughter's doctor for years and now sees all four of my nephews as well. She is great with kids, especially anxious ones, and with parents. They are open Saturdays for urgent issues and are very responsive. The support staff is friendly and efficient. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pediatrician!
Dr. Wallach is one of the best drs I have ever met! She spent a lot of time with us and she was fantastic. She is very laid back and that might be why the other reviewer thought she was "stoned". I didn't get that at all! My son is very tiny for his age and she reassured me he was just fine. She listens well and was just fantastic. I can't recommend her enough.
Let me start by saying that I have never written a review good or bad for regarding a Dr. - but after reading the review above I feel as if I MUST write down a few things. My son, who has seen WAY too many "specialist" for a G.I. issue that is completely ruling and ruining his life, was sent to see Dr. Wallach. He cannot put on weight and has not grown in many years. Does she talk quickly?yes. Does she talk about many possibilities? yes. I believe that the above review was a frustrated mother who could not appreciate a Dr. that clearly was trying to look at "fun" options for children to exercise. Both of my parents and one sibling are Dr's and I can tell you that you will NOT find a Dr. who cares more about her patients! She not only is an amazing dietician but also is a pediatrician which for us was a bonus. She listened at a time when the specialist barely gave us more than a few minutes before ordering test after test. Dr. Wallach is the first Dr. that looked at the WHOLE PICTURE!! which is key. Dr"s are taught to be "clumpers" not "spliters" meaning that they need to see everything going on with your child. I can tell you that San Jose is filled with spliters. Dr. Wallach even addressed the social impact of my son's illness. She is loving, wonderful and a VERY compassionate doctor. If she seems eccentric at all, I truly believe that this is only because she is SO PASSIONATE about what she does. She quit being a pediatrician to focus on the weight epidemic that now plagues our youth. Clearly- my son did not have a weight issue. In fact, we had the opposite and even though it was not what she currently is focusing her practice on, she was so excited and on-board with getting him a correct diagnosis and the help he needed. She is an amazing Dr. who truly cares about her patients and their parents.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
