List of Richard Nolan Md's Reviews
Dr Nolan is one of the most caring Dr's I have ever met. They broke the mold when they created him. He takes his time with each patient and answers all questions. He treats you with compassion and that to me is what the majority of other Dr's lack. He is the Best Dr I have ever had! I met him through my husband who was in a terrible motorcycle accident, Dr Nolan saved his leg. No one can hold a candle to how much he actually cares about his patients it will be a sad day when he decides to retire which I hope isn't anytime soon. You may wait to see him but he is worth the wait. He fights for all of his patients and he tells it like it is and I would disagree with anyone who says otherwise. One review said he was sexist it made me want to laugh, he is a wonderful kind man and I have been seeing him since 1990 and I have the upmost respect for him he has operated on me several times and continues to see me monthly, if I have a question after hours all I have to do is text or call him directly. Who can say they have a Dr like that? He is worth every minute you have to wait and if you can't take honesty then he's not the Dr for you because he tells it like it is!
I went to see Dr. Nolan due to a bad car accident I was in, he was supposed to help figure out what my injuries were. Dr. Richard Nolan continuously made extremely inappropriate and sexist remarks about women to me, he made me so uncomfortable I had to bring my dad to my visits and once I did he addressed my dad more than he did me. On top of that, this doctor ordered no imaging of my back and when I told him I was still in intense pain after 8 months he told me that "wasn't believable". After firing my lawyer who sent me to Dr. Nolan and hiring a new team they were able to find a compound fracture in my spine and torn disc in my lower back. It took me 1 year to discover these injuries, 1 year of intense chronic pain because of the negligence of Dr. Nolan.
Dr. Nolan and his assistant Chrissy have been an absolute dream to work with after a traumatizing experience I had at another office for my tattoo removal. I have had 3 visits so far and each visit is delightful. I have not waited more than 10 minutes to be seen. Usually we get started right away since they sent me home with numbing cream to apply an hour before my visit. If you have a hard to reach tattoo, they will offer to apply the cream for you but you will have to wait for it to start working before your treatment. Tattoo removal can be painful, but they give the best advice and prep you for minimal pain. Chrissy is a sweat heart and Dr. Nolan really cares about quality work. Most tattoo removal patients will do anything to see results quickly, but it is a tedious process and I'm glad Dr. Nolan has helped me realize that if I want to have the beautiful skin I so desire, I have to be patient and gentle. It will be worth it! Thank you Dr. Nolan and Chrissy!!

Currently Dr Nolan isnt my doctor. However I am reviewing Dr Nolan for the time he was my Workers Comp Dr from 1991-1999ish. I literally flipped through the yellow pages closed my eyes and landed my finger on his listing! (Showing my age!) Dr Nolan saved my life from pain! I have disc degeneration L4L5. Kaiser doctors diagnosed it as a pulled muscle ordered physical therapy which caused excruciating pain. Then they prescribed pain meds that left me a zombie! I switched to Dr Nolan who evaluated me listened to me and immediately ordered sn MRI. From then he ordered the correct type of physical therapy he made me lose weight to keep my posture and core fit which ultimately relieved my pain. He is the only Dr since who has prescribed a narcotic medication for my flare ups. I usually need 1 tablet maybe 2 and im up and running. Since my insurance doesnt cover his services all the Drs since Dr Nolan havent treated me as well as dr did when i was his patient. Yes you may have to wait on him for hours on end but you always come out of there with being treated like you were his only patient. In fact Dr Nolan im surprised you are still practicing. I saw Dr Bulatov is under my insurance plan and that made me look you up! My name is Rachel Maestas-Escovedo aka Rachel Dominici. Thank you Dr Nolan for your services
I dont know how this place got 4 stars. The staff have the worst attitude, especially the lady at the front counter, christina. My suggestion is dont even go here. The workers here probably are under paid which is why they hate seeing customers walk in. Christina will not greet you, she will make you wait standing at the counter for god knows how long until shes finally ready. And even then she will throw a bitch fit because god knows what else she has to work on, when theres only 1 damn customer in the office. If you don't believe, I dare you to say hi to christina and see what happens. Hahah
No cooling systems for the tattoo removal here, nor hard ice packs. He made me feel bad about asking for one when I needed a break from the laser and told me he's been doing this 40 years so he knows what he's doing. Yet he's never had that process done on him and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about MY OWN body. He was cool during the consult but coming back I was kinda nervous already and being around him made it worse. He also made a comment that was uncomfortably sexual and I did not appreciate it. I won't be going back. Gross.
If you're looking for an orthopedic surgeon that knows how to deal with Federal workers comp Dr Richard Nolan orthopedic surgeon this is who you should be talking to I've been a patient of Dr Nolan's for at least six years Dr Nolan has never performed surgery on me however he's treating me for numerous of injuries. Now I must warn you you may have to wait a couple of hours but that's only because he's taking time to listen to his patience I don't care how complicated your cases Dr Nolan will take the time to listen and understand instead of making you feel guilty and looking at you like you're lying he does a very detailed examination sometimes too detailed because he pushes me to my limit butt I guess that's the only way he'll know what my limits are he's very professional a little hard to appreciate when you first meet him once you get to know Dr Nolan you'll see he's one of the most professional honest and concerned person you'll ever meet and a credit to his profession I have a back injury I complain so much about my back Dr Nolan sent me to take an MRI I wanted an Open MRI but instead he insisted on a closed MRI I must say I was not too happy however I can say I owe my ability to walk to Dr Nolan there was a tumor in my spine at my L4 L5 the tumor had grown and my nerves were in Tangled around and in the tumor so not only did I have a back injury I had developed a tumor which had nothing to do with my workers comp case so I immediately went to Kaiser and had the tumor removed the neurosurgeon at Kaiser told me if the tumor had grown any larger I probably would be wheelchair-bound however he was a great neurosurgeon he removed the tumor 6 weeks out of surgery and I can walk it'll take me a year to fully recover but I can walk and I have Dr.nolan to thank for that so if you want a great orthopedic surgeon it may take a little getting use to him and you may have to wait a couple hours to see him but believe me you're in great hands and I have nothing but praise Dr Nolan he gets 5 stars from me any day of the week thank Dr Nolan
I had "laser hair removal" a few years ago here. Long story short it did not work and more hair grew back than I started out with. Dr. Nolan would usually make me wait 20-30 min after my appointment time. Would not recommend this guy to anyone!
Often late, always great. I have had FOUR different doctors regarding this workers comp injury and I am glad I finally found Dr. Nolan. I live in the area so if he is running late they late me stay around doing my own thing until it is time to call me back, which is a plus but even without that option I would still wait for his service. Very very helpful and understanding doctor. I never feel rushed and my pains are always validated. Seriously, he is worth waiting just remember to bring a book ;) One time I was there with my newborn who was being fussy in the appointment so Dr. Nolan rocked him back and forth in the stroller while asking me the necessary questions. That was really nice for me. I also never feel like he is against me like other WC doctors that seem to assume that everyone is full of it. He has helped defend me to my physical therapist who often gave me a hard time for being late, and also referred me to the appropriate people when dealing with some workers comp related issues. Seriously, he has made this whole workers comp fiasco much MUCH less painful. Major points in my book, definite 5 for me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
