My daughter recently had her wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Schimel. The doctor and his staff were amazing! Great customer service, personable, showed that they really cared when it came time to her recovery as well. Highly recommended!

I contacted them to make an appointment for my daughter for wisdom tooth extraction. They were very nice over the phone. Upon further email contact inquiring why I needed to pay up front all the cost associated with the extraction since we are on Delta Dental and in network, can’t we pay our deductible and they bill our insurance? No, that’s not how they operate as they want to collect all your money first. I understand and respect each business setting their own approach. But the email I got back was with an a bid intense with mark ! at each of the sentence as if they were yelling at you. All I asked was if they can provide a range of charge for the extraction so that I can check and confirm with Delta Dental. I totally understand it depends on each customer and tooth, and the consultation. It felt like they were offended that I don’t trust they will provide a quotation that’s inappropriate. Well, I’m doing my due diligence with you as a potential new client as well as checking and confirming with Delta. They also ask for your full SSN number during the phone call to schedule for an consultation appointment. Which, is really not needed as per Delta Dental to check coverage as all they need is name, DOB etc. Anyways, I’m sure this is a great dentist in terms of his experience and work performed. Onboarding and communicating with new patients is part of your services, perhaps you can consider working on that before you ask your potential patients to pay $$$ upfront and wait for insurance reimbursement. For the record, I also asked for your estimate given one of the other comments and feedback I found online that you allegedly didn’t fully reimburse a patient and after you received their insurance reimbursement.

Everything with this clinic is awesome. Dr. Shimel is highly knowledgeable and personable. I had a complex case of deep rooted molar extractions and no one took up my case. Dr. Shimel took up my case and successfully extracted them without any issues. I have never seen anyone more capable than Dr. Shimel. The staff is also wonderful here. Sapna greets you with a welcome smile always and friendly. Tanya is a patient coordinator and surgery assistant. She took excellent care before and after the surgery. I would definitely go back with out hesitation.

I will share no stars with this review and it actually pains me to tell others about this. My 19 yr old son went here to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed by Ben Schimel oral surgeon at Market West Dental Group. My son woke up half way through the procedure and was given no additional pain relief and was actually hollered at by Dr Schimel and told "STOP CRYING.!! We then had a meeting with Dr Amezcua and the office manager and regional overseer of this particular location and was promised a quick resolution and there has been nothing. My repeated calls sense to this office have been unanswered. I have made a report with my insurance and dental board of CA. The police said this was a civil matter and could do nothing. I was initially hopeful and now it seems there will be no resolution. With that said if I could warn all I can on every platform I can to steer clear of this kind of practice happening to you or your loved ones, it would be worth it.

My son had to have 6 wisdom teeth removed. I was very nervous about the procedure especially since anesthesia was being used. Dr. Shimel is extremely patient and thorough and answered all of our questions. After the surgery, Tania was extremely helpful in providing home care post op instructions. We had a great experience and my son had very little pain and swelling.

Love this place, super easy to get to and find. Very clean and orginized! The staff are super welcoming and made me feel very comfortable! Dr. shimel is amazing! He helped me understand everything going on with my teeth and assured me that I was in good hands. I love how this whole office made me feel cared for before and after my procedure and made me feel that they were there for me! I would definitely recommend coming here for wisdom teeth removal as that’s what I came here for!

Where do I start. The entire experience at Sycamore was outstanding. They were first rate from start to finish with my consultation, surgery and post appointments . I would highly recommend them.
