Love the new location in Albany, more convenient to those in the north Berkeley area. I came to get an x-ray for an injured foot and received excellent service. The staff, from receptionist, nurse, radiology technician, to Dr assistant were fantastic and caring. I will come back!

0 stars if I could. I got an X-ray for a sports injury at carbon health last week. They sent me home instead of wait for the result. They messaged me that night that it is a fractured rib and prompted me to make a follow up for the following week. I did that and when I went to the appointment they asked me why I am here and turned me away! This even though I had a scheduled appointment. This is the opposite of care and is unacceptable. I am never going back.

A family member experienced a sudden medical issue which we felt required immediate medical attention. It was about 6 p.m. on a Friday and urgent care was our only option. I had had a good experience with Carbon Health in Berkeley in the past, so we went to the Carbon Health Urgent Care Clinic in Albany near our home. The entire team were professional and efficient. The facilities were clean and well kept. The staff were careful about masks and Covid protocols. In particular I'd like to compliment the clinician, Fletcher Munksgard, NP. Fletcher was very thorough in his exam and in the questions he asked. He was reassuring, and his bedside manner was impeccable. When he arrived at a diagnosis, he carefully explained the condition to us, encouraging us to read the information laid out on a trusted government website. Though he was confident of his diagnosis, Fletcher nevertheless ordered blood work and imaging to rule out any other underlying issue. The radiation technologist was very efficient and professional. Thanks to Fletcher and the entire team for an excellent experience and top-notch care!

The people were all extremely friendly and efficient. The place is immaculate. And, I got my results in about an hour, complete with a printable record.

I had a sudden onset of vertigo, Friday morning, my primary doctor did not have an after hours person that weekend, so I was hoping for the best Saturday, when that didn’t resolve, nausea and spinning and vomiting I came in to carbon health because it’s close to my house. It was easy to get in, to navigate online as well, is clean, stylish (not a depressing old office with outdated magazines), and has a very attentive staff. Helpful and empathetic from start to finish. Helped me and I did not feel rushed. .. Went on a Sunday. Seems like the worst things happen after hours! Glad to count Carbon Health as an ally when I can’t talk to my primary doctor.

I’ve been to two locations of carbon health recently, and both were extremely positive. Scheduling was easy, it was just a slight copayment from my health insurance, and you have a real doctor speaking to you about your Covid results and what to do for care. The results are also pretty nice. Quick turnaround time I recommend carbon health.

I had the fortunate experience to be treated at this walk-in clinic, although I phoned ahead for an appointment which is preferred. I don't live in the US so I paid out of pocket but the prices were fair enough for the excellent medical care. The staff is not only very professional but also courteous and informative. Using the app is advantageous and gets access to bills, diagnoses, prescriptions & more, plus a post-treatment in-app text message service: response can be slow because they are very busy and work in other Carbon locations, but an answer will show up, often immediately or same day. Modern, efficient, qualified consultation. Highly recommended.

So rude! Two stars for quick check in, but there’s a reason it was empty and easy to find an appointment. The moment I walked in, one of the receptionists told me I should’ve booked this as urgent care then when I asked why she couldn’t give me an answer. Carbon doesn’t define what should be primary or urgent care - maybe I’m just dull but if you’re bringing it up you should be able to tell me why it was wrong. Happy to rebook it and wait but just tell me why. She still didn’t give me an answer! I came in for a sore throat to make sure I wasn’t contagious, and wanted to know what was causing my sore throat. The PA Paige came in for a few minutes checked things out, gave me an idea of what it could be if not strep, and said we’ll check the strep test, then never came back. Also didn’t bother recommending anything that could help. She didn’t say anything! And just left and never came back. Now she did send a detailed after care plan, which was great, that was just never communicated to me that she’ll put everything in a care plan. Nurse came in then kicked me out, and I had to ask her as she was ushering me out “What’s next? am I contagious?” She was like “I don’t know it doesn’t matter” then rushed the next guy in. Excuse me what… I’ve gone to other carbon locations before, this was the worst one in terms of communication. I had a genuine concern and was brushed off and swatted away. I did end up getting a care plan after the appointment, which was nice, but the whole interaction was just strange. And the answer to my question of am I contagious is still unanswered! In the words of the nurse I guess “it doesn’t matter”.

I've definitely had a five-star experience both times I have needed Carbon Health in Albany. Both times , I was a walk-in patient and received care in a very reasonably prompt time. The level of treatment was courteous and professional. In the case of the cut to my forehead, after cleaning the wound, they gave me the proper advice of going to the emergency department of my Kaiser hospital, which I did. Thank you to all of the great staff at Carbon Health!
