Worst health care possible

you just took my money for a medication refill, then denied the refill without refunding me, and are ignoring my messages through the app

After a disastrous Dermatology appointment, I received an email from Kaiser that included a link to "give feedback." I had feedback, so I clicked the link. It went nowhere. It was a dead link. Just an error message. SO...I found the member relations email and sent them a message letting them know that their "easy and accessible" way to provide member feedback was...you know...not easy or accessible. I also let them know that this felt intentional; how hard is it to check that a hyperlink works? Much more likely that KP doesn't actually want to hear from us about our concerns. I got a message from Member Relations saying they would look into it and get back to me. This morning, I got an email from KP titled "An Important Message from Kaiser Permanente Member Relations" saying that they had reviewed my issue and had a letter. There was a large blue text box with the words "View Letter." When I clicked it, it went nowhere. It was a dead link. Just an error message. As my health insurance premiums increase, as I continue to receive sub-standard care, and as wait times for even the simplest of appointments grow longer and longer, it is 100% clear to me that Kaiser has become administratively incompetent; no wonder they structurally and intentionally limit how member's can give, and receive, feedback.

I’ve been a Kaiser Permanente member for years through marketplace coverage and was recently informed that because my income changed and I now qualify for Medicaid, I’m now treated as a “new Medicaid enrollment” and can no longer continue coverage due to current policy restrictions. As a longtime member, this was extremely upsetting and discouraging. Continuity of care matters, and it’s frustrating to feel like years of membership no longer matter because of a change in financial circumstances. The representatives I spoke with were kind and respectful, and I appreciate the time they took to explain everything to me. However, the policy itself feels unfair to longtime members who are simply transitioning from marketplace coverage to Medicaid after life and income changes. Honestly, situations like this make it feel like healthcare has always been more about the money than the people. After being a loyal member for so many years, it hurts to feel like support disappears the moment your financial situation changes.

I'm only giving you this review because the "HANDICAPPED" parking spaces at the Union City Kaiser Permanente Park are completely non-visible. they need to be redone. I don't know how you expect people to park in these faces correctly

approve needed imaging and care when a patients doctor says it's needed to treat a serious issue.

They waste wayyyy too much of my time with bs texts and emails and the app AND ALL THE CALL CENTERS SUCK. Those employees are concerned with the wrong stuff. They sat on my Rx for over 10 days THEN LIED TO ME about when my Dr sent the Rx to them. No matter the day , the time or the department ITS GOING TO TAKE A VERY LONG TIME. All around Kaiser the cult is too much. I HATE how they try to shove nps down your throat. The reason im paying for insurance is get medical care from DOCTORS. I could go on and on with facts and receipts to back it up. I know kp doesn’t care to hear it so I will send it all to the insurance commissioner and encourage others to do the same.

Let's try this a different way. Using your telephone keypad, do exactly as I just said! A truly different way. Stupid phone answer system.

Their messaging system is a big joke! They have good doctors (and nurses), but don’t ever try to send them a message because messages are intercepted by “your doctor’s team,” who makes idiotic decisions based on whatever instruction manual they are reading since I don’t think they are allowed to look at your patient history record because of HIPAA laws… I’m not sure. (They’ve told me things completely unaware of what my situation was!) So the instructions they give you are irrelevant, insulting, and dangerous! The “team” told me my being overweight was basically causing my stomach issues… it actually was something else! My doctor was not even aware i sent him messages!!! Once, the “team” tried to change my medication! My doctor was unaware, of course. Kaiser is saving money by hiring “wanna-bes” to do the job of fully trained medical professionals. I’m staying with Kaiser because I’m retired, and I have time to play their games… but if you have a busy life, go with Cedar Sinai or another health provider.

Love my kids PCP and how easy it is to email her and get appts/referrals!
