If you want to be respected, appreciated and paid what your worth as an RN, do NOT work for College Hospital. I got seven months of experience as a mental health RN, and got the heck out of there.

No interest in patient treatment goals and even less respect for their time. You receive juice boxes and prison food and spend hours in pretty much unmoderated group therapy typically dominated by whichever patients feel most comfortable interrupting and talking over others. No effort is made to place patients in relatable peer groups or sessions targeted to their symptoms. This might be a good place to stick an extremely lonely elder relative you can’t stand hanging out with if you can’t afford inpatient care, but if you are looking for intensive outpatient psychiatry and therapy you will most likely just feel patronized
