List of Henry Chan Myint Yee Md's Reviews
Dr Yee is a nice person, but his front office is really bad and needs to be immediately replaced. No one wants to take care of patients’ phone calls and no one wants to take the responsibility to help patients. The simplest task of making an appointment is harder than going into space. The phone just keeps ringing and no one wants to answer. Even if you are lucky to get answered, you would be directed to call another number to make an appointment. It is so frustrated to keep redialing and waste so much time and not be able to get an appointment. This has been an ongoing problem. Dr. Yee, please take action. We live so far away and can’t drive to your office to get an appointment.
The service staff has a bad attitude,
This place is unsafe, dirty and disorganized. There is no sanitation or safety measures taken outside of a temp check- no hand sanitizer. Horrible ventilation. Upon signing in, my mother waited 40 mins to find out that the dr was not even in the office. We were not notified when we called to confirm the appointment last week. Waiting room patients are asked to open the locked front door for people. I cant imagine this qualifies as “care”.
非常糟糕的管理,打电话过去预约的时候,要么没人接,要么让你等一下,然后让你等了好久,又一声不吭的把电话挂了。连续几天都是这样的情形,怎么都约不到。打电话过去预约,保证让你精神崩溃。
This doctor saved my life and he's great. He's the only dr who would listen to me and take me seriously. I higly recommend him. He also works at Garfield Medical Centre. I had him place a Pace Maker in my heart and the surgery was a success. Hes very patient and looks out for your well-being.
So Dec 2018 we were coerced and pushed into a surgery that turned out to be elective.... when we requested to go to another hospital or Cedar-Sinai we were told doctor Yee was the best. We were told patient heart is within the serious condition and we shouldn't put it off for even one week AND we shouldn't even go to another hospital he could have a heart attack in route And I asked Dr Yee many questions he says " I do it all the time 1000 times I put pacemaker, no problem no problem no problem." PROBLEMS!!! Then they schedule surgery for 9 p.m. we request surgery for the next day or the day after but not at night. The doctor denies it says no everything set we're going ahead knowing we were very uncomfortable and wanted it to be in the daytime not in the dirty night time. Again, patient request denied!! AFTER coming to a Recognized not for profit hospital with an elevated Standard Of Care, and a hospital having our concerns addressed differently and the preparation/sterilization done differently it now leads me to look at everything with a different eye the worst part is the Doctor.... he placed it on top of the muscle which is the worst it protrudes out from the chest. The pacemaker IED should be placed under the muscle that's mistake #1 for the surgeon placement is absolutely detrimental to some people if it's on top they can never wear a backpack again. And if it's placed under the muscle once healed you don't feel it so ....sad. do you care about your patients when you're not taking the best possible placement as a surgeon? How was I to know? I know now!! Garfield medical Center ( not even called the hospital) was the best THEY said, they do it every day with no complications. Now two and a half weeks later my husband is in another hospital fighting 2 infections that he received in surgery! Discharged in so much pain, Doctor should have known something wrong. Doctor made a comment about not liking to do surgery at night next thing we know it's scheduled at night . And the biggest thing I didn't like is at a 9 p.m. surgery, when I asked several nurses, they called and asked for the surgery to be postponed for the doctor performed it against our best wishes. In O.R. when you went into or as I did in the waiting prep area there's a room with a sick patient that says no entry wear gloves and mask on the doors. Doors are open and then technician walked in there and then walked over to my husband wth EKG machine, afterwards I told her to change gloves after I spokeu up. number one and every doctor should see to it that they perform surgery only where it's number one they also shouldn't tell you they've done a surgery 1,000 times and never had a problem but yet according to statistics there should have been a problem also the fact that you request another doctor another hospital and they say no no no this is good let's just do it you're here let's do it you're here. And another partner of Dr Yee also said lets do it now; no reason to wait-Dr Yee the best. ( NO, the best is at Cedar-Sinai or someone who practices at a hospital that has reports written about them not only in world news but has a 4.9 rating with healthgrades also world-renowned - people come to him to fix all the mistakes that other doctors make think about it before you do it) do it well their choice has screwed up our life and now we're spending Christmas in a hospital thank you for nothing good! I would like a refund. I'm most disappointed that when we express concerns and we requested not to have a night surgery both were denied and we were pushed to go through with it I don't like coercion and two weeks later I'm extremely upset that I let it happen and didn't fight for our rights I should NOT have had to fight, but I wish I did! Now he'll have two large incisions on both sides of his chest all because of this. mistake and neglect. And have an IV at home for weeks fightng infection! When I called the doctor's office, there was just a recording to call 911 how can you not be able to reach your doctor after hours ridiculous!
I went to his office to get a stress test and EKG done don't go. It had been four months.I had my surgery canceled because of it. I passed the tests. But his never faxed over the information after calling many times.
It's 11:36. My appt. was at 10:20. This is my 4th visit to this place & it's always like this. Fastest I've been seen is 45 min AFTER my appt. If your PCP/FP send you here tell them NO.
If I were judging the skill of Dr. Yee and his colleagues, I would give 5stars. I bring my 93 year old mother here. If I could give negative stars for the office staff, I would. It's almost impossible to get through on the phone. When we're in the waiting room, I see them let the phones ring incessantly and just ignore them. Only Adriana, and Wendy(who basically keeps everything going) are competent and helpful. Wendy knows what's going on with everything- and she solves any problems that arise, while keeping a good attitude. I suppose that those who are fluent in Chinese may not have such a difficult time over the phone (if anyone there bothers to answer). I don't really understand why a good physician would have such an incompetent office staff, but after many years as a patient here, my mother doesn't want to go to someone new. So, I'll continue to cross my fingers every time I have to call the office in hopes that I get to speak with Adriana or Wendy.
Employee not professional I trying to be come patients for Dr Henry Yew but change my mind all employee answer the phone so rude sometimes they hang up the phone they promised to call back but never , They need to training become customers services Dr Henry Yew you have to know that

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
