I m confident to say he is one of the best doctors , and best cardiologist that my mom and I have ever had You need to care and enjoy what you do . and you must know when you are a doctor you are not a God .,You do the best you can to assist patient and family to go through all kind of challenges , you do not to give up on your patients , your determination is all the way .,You always provide what your patient wants and needs . It's not about what a doctor wants . It's what's the best for your patient . This is how Dr Yeh has been treating my mom . Mom and I are forever grateful to him
Called in Sept for appointment and scheduled on 11/22. Now what?! They called the day before my appointment and said Dr. is on his vacation and the soonest appt will be the end of Jan. Such a Joke!!! The rep said you should call your PCP and look for another GN dr. Why can't you call me once Dr. Decided to have vacation? Waste time!
Dr. Yeh performed my thyroidectomy. Both of my previous biopsies came back as inconclusive, however, he determined that my nodule was suspicious enough to warrant a lobectomy. I am so grateful for Dr.Yeh's expertise and knowledge to recognize that I needed surgery, as the pathology of the nodule came back as cancerous. His team quickly scheduled me for a follow up surgery to remove the remaining lobe. His bedside manner, responsiveness and willingness to answer any and all of my seemingly dumb questions was fantastic. He was even kind enough to zoom call my parents who live in Canada and could not be in the United States while I was undergoing surgery. I am so thankful for Dr.Yeh, and would gladly recommend him.
After my OB/GYN found a thyroid nodule, I was referred to a local endocrinologist, who did a painful biopsy, and was very short in explaining to me what was going on. Luckily, I was referred to Dr. Yeh, and I feel very grateful to have him as my doctor. The diagnosis was the most frightening thing that I’ve ever experienced, and a referral to have a prompt total thyroidectomy was nerve-racking. Dr. Yeh was calm, reassuring, and always took time to explain things to me thoroughly without ever making me feel rushed. Like most people, I never wanted to have any type of surgery. However, given the circumstances, I am extremely satisfied with his clinic, his demeanor, and the outcome of the surgery. My scar is barely noticeable, owing to his skilled experience as a surgeon, especially in such a delicate and obvious location. Through online reading, I learned that the first surgery is the most important, as it sets the stage for future complications and recurrence. I am appreciative to have been referred to him, and would highly recommend him to any future prospects. Even after the surgery, he responded quickly to questions, and my follow-up with him over these past 10 months has continued to be very positive. The only negative that I experienced was difficulty scheduling such an urgent surgery. I’m not sure if this was a UCLA scheduler issue, or an issue with my insurance, but it did take several calls to get things organized and scheduled.
Next time I will say Nay to Dr. Yeh!!!!! He left me with a destroyed parathyroid gland and didn't disclose he used and left metal clips inside my neck. When I questioned the surgical error regarding the parathyroid gland he responded in a tone that frightened me. He was unsure how many clips I had left in my neck and didn't seem to care about my concerns for later obstructed views in that area. I had to make two trips and insist on Dr. Yeh seeing me after surgery to answer questions. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone.
I had the best experience with Dr. Yeh. I can’t imagine what it would have been like without him. I was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer. My gynecologist saw the lump. I didn’t even notice! Now looking back in photos I can see it. Dr. Yeh is not only a great surgeon but he is warm and very knowledgeable. I know how well the surgery went because following that- anytime I have to get my thyroid medicine adjusted, my dr and others will comment how there were virtually no traces left of the problem tissue and that it must have been a very good surgeon. They seemed surprised like its rare. That of course is a very good thing to hear. Then once they hear it’s Dr Yeh they say yes, he’s a very good surgeon. My scar is so minimal. You can barely see it now. I’ve had no Issues following and the surgery went so smooth. Dr Yeh and his staff got to know me and helped me to feel so comfortable. I recommend him to anyone who is scared- and wants the best surgeon out there.
This entire visit has just been annoying. What's the point of making an appointment if you double book your patients and end up waiting an extra 45 mins. I left and asked them to call me when they're ready to see me. I came back and I'm still in the office. The doctor saw me for 5 mins and I've been waiting for over an hour. That's ridiculous. Other patients are prioritize before me which is unfair because I have already been here for way too long. They asked me if I want to reschedule and I said no because I know they're already booked for the entire month. My doctor referred me here and I'm not going to drag it on for another month. -- I waited over an hour for this doctor and he saw me for a total of five mins. All he did was ask me a few questions and then he left. I'm livid. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Thanks for literally nothing.
Dr. Yeh is quite a good doctor as I've now seen him twice. He is straightforward and doesn't beat around the bush. I like an honest doctor who doesn't keep wanting me to come back for unnecessary checkups for my copayment. Now that my tests have concluded and I've been given a green light I don't need to see him again. His office staff Crystal and the other nurses and radiology tech have been professional and that's a great thing. I was bothered when their main office led me to the wrong address the first time I went for an appointment but now I feel at ease. I got a phone call before my appointment to verify the date and time. I was promptly seen at my appointment time. Sometimes you have an appointment but your still waiting from 15 minutes to an hour before seen but I'm glad his appointments are spread out so he has time with each patient and each person is seen at the time of appointment. I recommend Dr. Yeh as a Doctor to fill your needs.
It is too bad that I can't give zero stars. This is the worst Dr.'s office that I have ever been to. I have been trying to get an appointment for an heart monitor since December 14, 2018. Because the staff at Dr. Yeh's office can't decide what authorization coding that they needed for my appointment. Dr. Yeh's office rejected the first authourization coding, and had me contact my referring Dr. with the code that they gave to me. When I received the new authorization with the code, that Dr. Yeh's office gave to me, they rejected that code as well. When Dr. Yeh's office rejected their own code, that they asked for, I told them to contact my referring physician, which they did. My insurance company then gave me a new authorization. Dr. Yeh's office finally accepted the new coding, which was the same as the first authorizations.Three authorizations later and now it is January 16, 2019, the date of my scheduled appointment. Now mind you, this appointment is to have an ekg done, and a harness heart monitor put on. When I get called into the examination room, the nurse checked my weight, and blood pressure, and then she proceeded to inform me that this visit was to be a consult only. According to my THIRD authorization, I was to have the visit, an ekg, and the heart monitor put on today. Not just a consult!!! When I got upset and said that this is crap, and who is in charge, the Dr. (which I didn't know who he was at the time) was sitting in the nurses station on his computer and he didn't say a word. The Dr. didn't even make an attempt to rectify their wrong doing. This Dr. don't care about his patients, all he wants is the deductible. The more visits they can talk you into, the more money the Dr. makes.
I wanted to take the opportunity to write about my and my family’s experience with Dr. Yeh as he has been such a blessing in our lives. In 2014, I was diagnosed with stage 4 thyroid cancer that had spread into my neck and upper chest. Thankfully, I had been referred to Dr. Yeh. From the moment he came in the room to discuss my case with me, I was put at ease. He explained all his recommendations, including the recommendation for surgery. I knew of his extensive surgical training, and, paired with his confidence, I felt very comfortable with him performing my surgery. I underwent surgery and had a lot of cancer removed. During the surgery, Dr. Yeh found that a tumor had grown entirely around my laryngeal nerve. He could either completely cut the nerve, rendering me unable to speak, or he could spend a significant amount of time scraping the tumor off of it. Given the situation, he felt confidant he could effectively removed the disease by scraping it off the nerve, and not cut the laryngeal nerve. I am a pastor, and my passion is to preach God’s word from the pulpit every Sunday. Losing my ability to speak and preach would have been devastating for me. Dr. Yeh spent extra time in surgery to allow me to still be able to preach God’s word, and for that I am incredibly thankful. I knew that if there was no way to save the nerve in order to remove the cancer, he would have cut the nerve. However, he saw a way to save it, and saved it even though it took more time for him to take that approach. My postoperative care was great, and the scar on my neck was unnoticeable since he made the incisions inside the natural wrinkles in my neck. As is often the case with the type of cancer I have and its natural course, I had more disease that grew after the surgery and needed to be removed. Dr. Yeh again went in and did an incredible job, and I still have no visible scars. It has been almost 4 years since my first surgery, and 3 years since my second surgery, and I am doing very well. I am forever grateful for Dr. Yeh being my surgeon. I follow-up with him regularly, and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs an excellent ENT/thyroid surgeon. His bedside manner is great, and he was so kind to explain and answer any questions my family had while I was recovering after surgery. If in the future I require more surgeries to remove more disease, I will undoubtedly go back to Dr. Yeh. His skill and expertise is unmatchable, and I am so blessed to have him as my surgeon.
