Laguna Treatment Hospital's Online Review Report Card

Place is run down pamphlet is misleading about chef designed food I received pasta and meatballs. Why even mention the beach as this place is located directly next to the 73 freeway what a view awful It is also ONLY an 18 minute drive to the beach which should not even be mentioned. Room had paint peeling off no one enforced Covid restrictions as staff let residents walk freely coughing and with a zero mask policy see pic. People lined up at 8 pm for medications 20 deep and no masks I felt like I was in a petri dish. This place is for you if you have NO other choice. Bottom line this is just a place to hang your head with staff having zero expectations of you. If anyone has doubts please ask the floor person in charge on level 2 they concurred with me that people who are out of their whereabouts detoxing will not adhere to rules. I find it offensive that anyone could even reply to this with a straight face yet sleep at night knowing this is NOT a hospital per the name says.

Ive been in n out of detoxes and rehabs all over Southern California for the past 4 years and there were a few things that for me at least made this the best experience yet.  One you can drive there and park your own freakin car in their parking lot and not have to worry about where youll leave your car while you are gone.  Two they dont take your phone away from you like even once at all no black out period no handing over your phone whatsoever  Cray right?  Lastly I know this isnt what laguna Treatment hospital would want me to mention but Im just keeping it real so Three they dont MAKE you go to groups meetings  Of course they promote you to go and let you know when the meetings are taking place etc but I was SUCH a baby about detoxing over the past 10 days and I struggled to see the light big time.  I didnt come out of my room to do anything besides get my comfort detox meds which yes  are all included yes even generous enough benzo tapers for all you barred out bunions like I was along with a few other farrr too gregarious habits so when they didnt MAKE me get up out of my self sorrowing sad ass bed and go to group meetings I was SUPER refreshed... not once did they start threatening to report to my insurance that I didnt comply with some rehab facilitys skeezy ass way of trying to get out of getting your insurance to cover for our treatment so that they can charge private pay which is an agreement that they make with affiliated insurance companies to report back to them if the rehabtreatment center experiences that you attended no group meetings and didnt comply with s sufficient amount of psych treatment while in house.  Imagine that finding out they will be sending you a check after youve struggled through whatever detoxprogram it may be.  It is SO FKED UP if you ask me because everyone gets back on their feet in their own way at their own speed and suddenly finding out as you discharge that you will be sent a bill and that insurance isnt going to cover you because you werent orderly enough during your detoxrehab now thats a HUGE expense and would clearly only be a giant deterrent to said patients long term recovery  Maybe thats just a threat that other lame rehabs have used to get me out of bed but thats what theyve all threatened except for Laguna Treatment Hospital.  Every other rehab except Laguna Treatment Hospital believe it or not has threatened that id literally be sent private pay charges if I didnt get up out of bed after three days and they made me get my ass out of my bed and into group meetings on day three which Ive always personally despIsed.  Honestly they always end up helping once I go but I just want to be grumpy and secluded when Im detoxing  This place is different warmer caring.  They run a very professional operation feels like a legit hospital stay.  There are always multiple nurses present 247 if you need meds a doctor on site everyday responsive case managers I honestly dont know how they afford it.  Huge facility great cafeteria talentedcaringpositive staff just really good people doing really good work.  OMG PEOPLE  Im free from the deathly grip of A HUGE FENTANYL HABIT  I know what youre thinking but trust me dudesdudets but when I was using for the past 4 years for some reason I could handle more fetty than anyone Ive ever seen.  Im literally the OG of using that SHIT and I either could rail three grams a day easily slammed two grams a day for a long time took huge bong loads of the stuff on the regular and I NEVER even nodded and thats while taking benzos too  SO dangerous.  Now thats not bragging thats embarrassing but imagine that kick I was facing and now that its over Im so relieved and although it felt rough while going through it it was honestly such a piece of cake and 10 days well worth the white knuckling in order to get my LIFE BACK  YES One day at a time of course  Im literally in the parking lot still lol ok Ive said way too much.  Anyways THANK YOU LAGUNA TREATMENT FACILITY from the gray faced fella in 318 who was lookin like a day walker and only made it to the cafeteria once the entire time.  Do yourselves a HUGE favor feel like youve done gods work and forget all about me no

My experience was that i got There at 2 pm and at bedtime i still had no clothes. Apparently they didnt have staff to check my luggage. So i slept in my clothes. In the morning after breakfast still no clothes. No cigarettes no phone charger. No one offered to get just a few clothing items. I just had to stay in my dirty slept in clothes. I got on the phone and found a better place that sent an Uber to pick me up. Now that i they saw i was leaving around noon suddenly all my stuff appearedby that time i was over it and the place i moved to is excellent The Discovery House in Reseda .

My stay here at Laguna has been nothing but miraculous. The transformation that I’ve seen in myself has been the most rewarding and motivational change I’ve ever seen myself. My case manager Heidi my therapist my doctors and all of the nursing staff Meghan have been so wonderful and so helpful and so influential in my recovery I cannot thank them enough. I cannot recommend this place enough and I’ve been to many centers.

I am very happy with all the staff here. They really take care of you at any time of the day no matter what. They will work with you through each problem.I felt very comfortable around everyone. The activities are very good and generally I would recommend this place to anybody who has addiction.

Laura Jean and Tracy were all great and super supportive and helpful through this whole process.
