Kaiser network is the best network in healthcare. The OC facility is beautiful! I was treated with care and professionalism. All the people that were taking care of me were so nice! I came in for emergency the parking was easy, the wait times were short, and the staff made it easy the whole way.
The management of this hospital is both incompetent and inept. I was scheduled to receive an important treatment this past Thursday but was denied entry to the hospital because my employer had provided free COVID19 tests the day before and I didn't have my results. I tried to explain that the test was voluntary, that I didn't have symptoms, that I wasn't exposed to anyone with the virus, and that I wasn't told to take the test. The management of this hospital can't figure out the difference between a voluntary test and a required/necessary test. Illogical policies like Kaiser's will only discourage people from being tested for fear of being denied access to urgent and needed medical care (like I was). Thank you Kaiser for denying me access to my medical care and putting my health at risk!
This one is by far my favorite Kaiser to go to. I had a terrible experience with the Lakeview Kaiser, and debated about changing my health care provider, but I came here. I am glad I did, because by far, this is the best one I could have come to.

I had a medical emergency, not knowing it at that time, and I was surprised by how quick they got me to the back and took care of me.

The hospital is very fancy, to me at least and I have been very impressed.

It is also very big, so you can easily get lost. There is also a peaceful garden outside to walk through. I have found myself really enjoying a nice stroll.

By far, my favorite place to go.
Absolutely the worst!!!! ER front desk, CYNTHIA, super rude, my mom does not speak English, but my mom had her on speaker so I got to hear the way she spoke to my mom. Super degrading, humiliating and prejudiced alike..... "I don't speak English, I have other calls" and hangs up, she cut her off, didn't let her speak and yelled that to my mom. My mom began to cry. Prior to that, my mom asked, does anyone speak Spanish, I need help, her response was "NOPE, NOPE, ok gotta go" so then I called back, on my phone, she said to us "This is the 3rd time you guys call" (yelling) First of all, we have the right to call as many times as we would like to check up on a family member. IF SHE doesn't like it maybe she shouldn't be in the medical field... it is disappointing that a big hospital like kaiser will hire someone with little, to no customer service experience and BASIC skills.....SHAME ON YOU CYNTHIA.....
We just lost our father 2 months ago and are in panic of another family member being in the ER, Cynthia couldn't understand that. I will be making a formal complaint on her....
I can not say enough wonderful things about this Kaiser branch. My intake was speedy, the doctors, nurses, and staff are the friendliest healthcare providers I have ever encountered. They are attentive and spend an adequate amount of time with their patients. If you need anything, they quickly return to you! I will definitely be coming back here whenever possible. Thank you Kaiser Anaheim!
I came into the ER this morning and i've never been to an ER before so I didn't know what to expect. I was super afraid. However, all of the staff members that took care of me were exceptional, friendly, and professional. The staff made the nerve wrecking visit a little better. I have a fear of needles and the nurse Marianne was extremely kind about it. Her friendliness made the whole visit so much more calming and easy. Thank you again to all of the doctors and nurses risking their lives to care for patients during this critical time.
Pharmacy is a joke here. Not a day goes by that I call in a medication a day in advance, double check it same day of pick up hours in advance, and I still end up waiting for it to be filled. Pharmacy clerks sit around yacking and goofing off, take their sweet time. They aren't even understaffed. There needs to be a change in leadership here, this has gone on way too long.
Kaiser needs to get employees who care about their patients. Every time I go into a different office all the MAs/LVNs seem like they don't want to be there. I'm a MA if you don't want your job I'll take it! I haven't seen my PCP in 4 years I can never make an appointment with her so I see a new doctor and new staff every visit and every experience I feel the staff hates their job and the doctors are annoyed with helping you. I went to see a gynecologist Mary OBrien Kazem NP and she did not wash her hands before the procedure. She was touching a whole bunch of stuff in the office and put gloves on afterwards. I went to get my toe looked at and before any form of surgery it has to be a sterile field. Again the MA didn't seem to want to be there and I'm guessing he didn't know or he didn't care that he was contaminating the surgical instruments. Dr. Craig James Pastor (DPM) seemed annoyed when I asked him a few questions about the procedure. He put on the tourniquet after my foot was gushing blood. You put it on before you start the procedure to prevent a lot of blood coming out. Kaiser you need to hire people who actually care about quality of service and patient care. Thank god I haven't gotten an infection from these careless Drs YET!!!
I've been with Kaiser for route 25 years but I always feel like I'm going to mechanic I go in for a Lube job and they're trying to sell me ball joints What a fine is is that they don't really know what the left hand is doing with the right on it and and then there is no sense of urgency there a lot of nurses here that are pretty pretty good they're pretty nice and some some of the doctor's but once you get caught up in their system are you you can't get out I think part of the problem is Kaiser not necessarily but the doctors Kaiser basically that they're great for ordering prescriptions online
Went today on the account my girlfriend had surgery and wanted to visit her try to cheer her up. I understand covid19 makes things difficult for visiting but they were able to for the moment. The thing that I found inascusable was they found out no one is allowed to visit as I already been inside spending time with her since early. Not only it's a stressful time but the fact she was hurrying me to leave when I wasn't in a rush to leave her so quickly. The attitude I received was clearly un warrant. Been to this hospital before and never had an issue like this before. Left a sour taste in my mouth. My word of advice is call before coming down and getting denied visiting a family member or friend inside.
The Emergency Department here is very efficient. With the COVID19 things have changed. It is best to call the advice nurse before coming here. Then once you arrive drive up to the tent and check in. Remember don't park in the structure for Emergencies. Just follow the signs and head towards the back.

If you are not the patient you can NOT go in. Zero visitors. Most people just go home or wait in their cars. Security guards walk around and keep everyone safe.

From check in to discharge it is about a 3 hour stay. Blood tests usually take about 45mins to an hour for test results. If you can't join your love one inside you can just log into their KP account and stalk their results. The only results that don't post online are Xrays, EKGs, ect.

Our experience was pretty good here. Everything is okay.

P.S. remember to send your Primary Doctor a message if you ever come here to follow up. They will call you back quickly.
Horrible! The worst! Absolutely the biggest joke of a "hospital".
They're a self servicing scam.
They are their own doctors, their own PR, their own HR, their own legal, their own grievance and complaints center.. basically it's like getting stuck in a gigantic cluster of chaos.
I could write a novel on how many times we've been let down, disappointed, disconnected, forgotten about, given wrong information, given wrong medication, and left completely to basically kick a rock because you get caught in an never ending loop of "that's not my department let me transfer you" OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN until finally you get "accidentally" disconnected.
I'm switching Far FAR away from Kaiser next week and it's literally more exciting than birthdays or Christmas at this point. I will literally preach to everyone who asks me about why no one should ever ever be with Kaiser. Never Ever!
Thank you so much Nurse Riza and all the staff I encountered today. I'm sorry I didn't see all your names. I felt so bad coming to the ER at 4am especially during this Covid 19 crisis. I was in distress and in so much pain I didn't think I could wait for urgent care to open. They treated me with kindness and compassion and gave me treatment that made my pain stop. I've had 2 children and many gallbladder attacks so I would not go if I didn't think it was serious and the pain I went through had me on my hands and knees crying and scared. Thank you so much kaiser Hospital for not making feel dramatic or like I was wasting resources or your time because I had so much guilt checking in. I appreciate you guys so much for being on the frontlines. May God bless you all and keep you safe from harms way.
Visited the ER last night with my 3yr old last night. She had a scorching fever. They had us wait outside in their tents with other adults who were possible covid patients. We'r we're separated by a plastic curtain. One of the nurses who triage us, Miranda, Melinda, something with an M, was very rude and cold. No compassion for patient care at all. Especially a child. She was making rude remarks under her breath as if we weren't present. We were kept outside in the tents. It was 9pm and it was cold. They needed to collect a urine sample from my child and after not being able to produce one they suggested a catheter, which I declined, I rather her go when she was ready. When I declined she rudely said "then I guess you'll never know why she has a fever!". I placed my daughters cup on one of their folding chairs and she scolded me and said "please don't put that there! I just wiped the chair" I thought it was uncalled for. They don't have anywhere to place our things except the floor. As far as the urine collection, she didnt offer any other options not even, let's have you wait inside until she's ready to go on her own. Which would have been nice. Instead she had us sit in the cold while she's about 10ft infront of us. No instructions, no plan, no update. So finally I asked an ER assistant, he kindly explained what we needed to do. Finally we were able to collect a sample, waited about another hr for the results. I asked if it was ok for my husband to bring our daughter some food. By this time it was 11pm. She said no. Didn't give an update on the Urine analysis. Finally she brought a tablet, we spoke to the MD and we were sent on our way. The nurse took her final vitals, didn't even tell me what the temperature was. Just handed me some discharge papers, didn't give instructions, no I hope you feel better, nothing. By this time it was midnight. And I still left not knowing what could have caused her fever. Next time I'll consider services ot side of Kaiser. It's a shame how their members are poorly taken care of. I've been a member since birth.
This is just towards their Emergency Room:

Our family has had Kaiser for years. We live in West LA and they have a pediatric urgent care which is great. We were on vacation at Disneyland for a week and my son got a very painful ear infection. This was the closest Kaiser. We made our way in only to find out that not only do they not have a pediatric urgent care, but they don't have an urgent care at all here. So we took our son into the emergency room. It was more than a two hour way while there was barely a handful of people in the waiting room. The staff has no sympathy or sense of urgency. I could not imagine how they'd handle a real emergency situation. More than a two hour wait with a screaming child and we finally make our way inside. The doctor comes out to look at him for less than a minute and then offers us a flu shot. Get out of here! A flu shot? My son is in pain and needs antibiotics and pain reliever! The entire process dragged and they left a lot to be desired. This Kaiser, unfortunately, sucks. Don't know how else to say it. Keep driving to another location if you're able to. Even with traffic and a wait time, they will still take care of you faster elsewhere.
Despite the long process for just the checkin (I was having chest pain) I didn't mind. I wanted to leave but they obviously persuaded me to stay (or convinced rather). So I stayed and they gave me medication for acid reflux and what not. Right for about to leave, my doctor had spoken with me that despite the symptoms, it was most likely just muscle pain but still needed to follow up with my doctor. So there I was waiting for my paperworks to be done and I heard filipinos speaking in tagalog. And I told my boyfriend cool they speak tagalog (I'm filipino) and I could understand them. THEY WERE TALKING SHIT ABOUT ME RIGHT INFRONT OF MY ROOM. Unbelievable. They said that they would understand if I was older and stuff but I was 23/24 blah blah. It made me not want to seek medical attention for serious stuff like chest pain. I WENT TO MAKE SURE I'M OKAY. Heart problems does not choose age. For what it's worth, I was in room 21 or 23 in the ER and all the filipinos in there (ladies) talked shit right infront of my room. Very unprofessional. I hope those nurses get serious medical problems. I hate them.

*I also had a miscarriage a week ago and my anxiety had been extreme. So my fucking bad I was trying to make sure I was okay*
ED. MD. PARANJPE, DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS!!
I check into the ED AROUND 5pm, with complaint if abdominal pain. Was brought into the room quickly and a IV was placed and blood drawn. After about 45min the Dr. PARANJPE came in sat down and proceeded to ask me why I was there. I explained my situation, he was there for less than 2mins. He orders an ultrasound and blood work. Then I was left for FOUR hours without any word of what's going on. Once he returned he said everything was normal and follow up with your doctor. I told him but you didn't address my abdominal pain. He said that is what your doctor will do. So I told my nurse to please let me see another doctor. By clearly he doesn't care, my nurse said that Dr. PARANJPE would not come back in. And that I would have to check in again to see him or another doctor.
I asked to speak to the charge nurse, she came aggressively speaking to me. Saying that there is nothing else we can do. That I will check in again, and I would most likely see the same doctor again.
I told her that my pain has not be addressed and that I was still in same pain. She did not care!!!

I would never treat a human that way! I can't believe that it is okay for these medical professionals that are there to help would treat me that way.

I waited in the room quietly not complaining not asking for pain meds for FOUR hours. And when I asked what am I suppose to do they told me leave and see my primary doctor.

The WORST EXPERIENCE IN HEALTH CARE I HAVE EVERY ENCOUNTERED.
Kaiser Permanente sent a bill to a collection agency without mailing it to me first. They initially claimed that they did mail it to me, but the mail was returned. Subsequent calls to Kaiser revealed that there was no record of the bill ever mailed. So far, they refused to explain what exactly happened.
Ive been to this hospital a few times. All the doctors I have seen are professional as well personable. They are very patient and also discreet about any problem you might have. Also, my dad has been needing some check ups more often and appointments have never been a problem to make. The place is neat and fairly organized. No complaints for far about his company or location.
GOOD GRIEF..... I have been here since the half time show and still haven't see my doctor. Missed the game and missed "the masked singer".
What the hell Kaiser!
Give me my meds and send me on my Mary way out.
