Sweet doctor, however have been completely over charged for an MRI with findings and the doctor has never contacted me back on what my next steps should be. Charging around $5,000 for no assistance provided. Last MRI I received from a different doctor was about $500 and I was provided instructions for care. Penera's office won't even answer the phone, just a runaround pushing numbers until you reach voice-mail.

Dr. Rebecca Penera wowed me. Her bedside manner and empathetic, enthusiastic way of conducting the appointment were comforting and reassuring. In a world of rushed appointments not taking the time to listen to the patient and the full context of the problem, I felt like the multi-month wait to be seen was worth it today.

I saw Dr. Penera at her new Anaheim Blvd. location (such a nice office)! Every person I came in contact with (front office, x-ray tech, medical assistant, doctor) was extraordinarily professional and kind. Dr. Penera was warm, patient, skilled, and thorough. I barely felt the Cortisone injection she gave me and thanks to her, I feel so much better about my feet! I finally have some answers and options. I highly recommend this provider and location. I found it easier to get in touch with the office through the patient portal than by phone.

I went to see this doctor for an ingrown toe nail, my primary doctor referred me to her. She looked at my toe and proceeded to cut my nail with no anesthetic. It was very painful. I was screaming in pain. She stated if she gave me a shot for pain it would hurt more. I will never see her again. Terrible beside manner. I have never experienced such an insensitive doctor. I work in a hospital and we do not treat our patients like this. I went home with a lot of pain and even developed a fever.

Dr. Penera was my podiatrist in Long Beach, CA. I was saddened to hear that she left for a practice closer to home but am happy for her. She is patient, skilled, knowledgeable, and has excellent people skills. She even taught me some foot exercises that help with pain and numbness. My prior podiatrist never did that. Dr. Penera makes her patients feel comfortable and answers all questions without hesitation. I cannot comment on her staff inasmuch as she is now at a new location which is too distant from my home. I will check mark that area anyway with regard to her prior office. I highly recommend her.
