Uci Family Health Center - Anaheim's Online Review Report Card

In summary: to get 20 minutes of time with a PA or LP, you must schedule for a month out and given you only have 20 minutes, be prepared to not ask any questions.Here's the main thing that absolutely rubbed me the wrong way: out of curiosity I asked the nurse if the PAs and NPs that work at this location operate under a Dr and can I have the name? Her response was "why are you asking that question?" Frankly, it shouldn't matter why I am asking the question. At first, it was curiosity but her answer made it concerning for what seemed like the purposeful lack of transparency. I asked the question because I have not talked to a Dr yet through this primary care system and coming from another state where my provider was a Dr, I wanted to understand this new-to-me system of care. Guess what, since they only have 20 minutes per patient, they do not have time for your questions.For my first appointment last year, the provider was an hour late for the Telehealth phone call, I still need to be outside of my work office to take calls like that so it was a little frustrating. I never went through with the follow-up appointment. I decided to give it another try, they gave me a new provider, Sonia Sedano NP. Ms Sedano is fine, she seems naturally attentive that's why this review is 2 stars because the weight of her care is a portion of the overall experience but it can't carry all the weight considering other very heavy factors. Scheduling is a nightmare, probably because this is West Anaheim and there are many people competing for healthcare resources, people want to go to UCI for the reputation, that's why I sought UCI because of amazing healthcare service I received in TUSTIN. If you want anything scheduled at this Anaheim location, it is a minimum 1-month out, otherwise go to the walk-in clinic in Santa Ana. Some of these issues can't be helped, but this review is for the people thinking they are going to get quality service/healthcare attached to the UCI name in West Anaheim, think again.

I can't deny that the staff is kind but they are also ridiculously strict on their milestones and make your child feel like they are not smart enough if they have not reached that milestone. They want to send my 3 year old son to speech pathology because strangers need to understand 75% of what he is saying. My son is shy and doesn't talk much around strangers, let alone in a healthcare clinic. The student doctors attend you and they give misinformation as well, telling me that the vaccines will be given on the botox and when I was struggling to make that happen the nurse comes in to tell me the vaccines actually go on the arms. I have tried to give UCI chances but they always seem to disappoint me.

The worse place ever, you never take appointments Until weeks or months later, when you try to call them no one answer easily, when you try to contact the Dr. Yeah it’s a dream for us , my 2 years daughter in pain in her ear like more than month and no one one is following the case if you are following it!!!! The bad experience ever and I’m very happy to stop going there anymore!!

Dr. An T Pham has the worst doctor care I've ever experienced. Appointment times are always one month out no matter your condition. Call back times on results are also one month out no matter your condition which to me is the most upsetting about this experience. People could be dying and you wouldn't know for an entire month. Your health is not a concern at this facility only your type of insurance provider.

Waited over an hour to be seem by the Dr. This was suppose to be a quick baby check up. The appointment lasted almost 2 hours! The 1st hour was a resident asking all the questions.  Once he finished I waited maybe an additional 30 mins to be seen by the Dr. The Dr. Only spent 20 mins with me and even scheduled an appointment without me acknowledging it. She said I was good to go, and as I'm walking out my nurse says I can't leave until I get the discharge paperwork. The system didn't even have my sons name and the staff didn't even bother to ask for his name.  I only went here bc the Doctor had good reviews, but let me tell you she's not worth the 2 hours.  I will be looking for another doctor.  So disappointed in this location.

One of the worse clinics you can come too! Always crazy wait times for your schedule appointments, how does that even happen?! And if YOU want a appointment, they will give you the next available one in 3 weeks.. no big deal right? They really don’t care about any of their patients. It’s crazy!

I took my daughter to see the pediatrician here. It was a pleasant experience. Everyone was attentive and thorough. They were helpful and did amazing with my 19 month old. Facility is super clean and relaxing. No complaints.

They take so long attending you for your appointments, even if you get there 15 mins before like they ask. Every time I come I wait atleast 45 mins before being seen, it’s so ridiculous at this point

Still the worst The receptionist are the ugliest most evil people in the world Don't come here unless you're willing to not be given a fuck about.  Disgusting fucking people work here Never coming here again.

They take so long to attend you for your appointments, even when you get there 10-15 minutes before like they ask they still have the audacity to have you waiting for over an hour. Went to go look around to see where my physician was, saw them chatting around the desk How annoying
