i went for him as a second opinion for glaucoma suspect way back 2016, he didn't spend much time with me, no testing performed, but he charged insurance company more than $1000, the contracted amount was $600, i had to pay for the entire amount, he charged so unreasonable , so i cancelled the following appointment

He is my glaucoma doctor and recently performed cataract and glaucoma surgery on one of my eyes. He is professional and thorough and answers all my questions without me feeling rushed. He seems very committed to his patients and their welfare. I feel fortunate to be in his care.

Dr. Francis has been an excellent clinician, and his surgical skills and judgement has been very good. The man knows his stuff. If you peel back all the patient emotional layer, this man is a physician you can trust. The support staff isn't my flavor (Pasadena), but Dr. Francis treats me like an intelligent adult. I'm very well read on my ocular conditions, and Dr. Francis and I can have dialogue. It's refreshing.

I left the Doheny Practice in Fountain Valley because of the last two specialists I saw., he was one. His expertise may be great, he may be a great technician, I don't know, but a physician he is not. I've spent my life in healthcare, and I've never felt less like a person than when I was with him, and Dr. Heilweil. Someone needs to get a message through....we are people, individuals, not computer screens, charts, and check books.

Dr. Francis is excellent. His wait time is quite bad. His appointments are very hard to make. His staff is perhaps the most unfriendly and abrasive in the country.

He performs a test that insurance won`t cover , I didn't find out about it until my bill arrived. A patient deserves the right to decline or accept the test . I`ve gone through billing and management and they refuse address this issue. I can`t recommend and won`t recommend him to anyone.
