Chia Chieh Hu Md's Online Review Report Card

In my opinion, this physician is not suitable for new mothers who are breastfeeding. He may be professional, but he's definitely not a good communicator or listener. He did not explain in detail the newborn's condition to the new parents, but instead pressured them to feed their infant formula in front of him without offering them an alternative.

Additionally, his office staff treated a crying baby like he/she was an object, not a precious human being. The whole visit was extreme unsatisfactory, uncomfortable, and made us feel like they are just running a company, not taking care of their patients.

After going through the list of pediatricians associated with Methodist Hospital, I decided to go with Dr. Hu. While he wasn't readily available because my daughter was born on the weekend, he was able to meet us Monday morning for a checkup.Dr. Hu is very knowledgeable and kind. As first time parents, there's always a lot of anxiety whether we are doing things correctly and what not. He is always able to reassure us that we're doing great. His schedule is pretty full so I recommend making appointments months in advance if possible.

This doctor is highly sought after. He's wonderful. However, the wait time to see him is discouraging. Dr. Hu is passionate and genuinely cares for his patients. Very knowledgeable, personable with children, and easy to talk to.

We highly recommended Dr. Hu Chia-Chieh!! Dr Hu is extremely caring, kind and patient! He is very good with kids. The only downside is he is one of the most popular doctors in that practice, so he is always super busy. It is hard to get an appointment with him if not scheduled way in advance. Other than that, he really is the best among all other pediatricians who work there who are also great.

Love! We got assigned to dr hu when we had our son at methodist. He's provided wonderful comprehensive care for our baby boy. Appointments are pretty accurate. I like how they have a separate entrance for kids who are sick and not sick. There's also a separate infant room. With multiple doctors in the practice, there's always someone else to cover behind if the doctor is off. The doctors are great with follow up phone calls as well. Definitely highly recommended

Good doctor, been going to him since I was a little kid

I have been taking my 3 kids to him since they were babies. He doesn't automatically prescribe antibiotics at the first sign of fever. He is very conservative about giving medicine. He always talks to my kids while examining them and that makes them feel at ease. However, he is always busy. It's difficult to get an appointment with him when my kids are sick. Sometimes we end up getting a different doctor within the group when we can't get an appointment with him.

While this office is busy, the staff, nurses, and Dr. Hu do their best to not only see you within a timely and orderly manner, but also to answer all your questions. I can also get a “sick” appointment within 24-48 hours of notifying them (that is, if I can’t make it in during the walk in hours). They are also very flexible in regards to medicine, the health and development of your child, and wanting to use more natural remedies rather than instantly dosing with antibiotics.
