List of Durdana Gilani Md's Reviews
Office seems to have closed this week but can't get through on the phone. Not even connected to answering service. Office locked on Monday with no explanation posted on door. No alternative phone number or anything. What rotten communication, especially at this difficult time. Go elsewhere!!
Dr. Gilani is very thorough and caring doctor. She was referred to me by a friend and I am very pleased with her and the staff.
I believe she cares ultimately about her patients, which is why I gave her two stars. Her communication is terrible. Her staff, especially her nurses are wonderful, however, when Dr. Gilani finally attends to you, she talks over you and can be condescending. My mother was fearful of doctors, and was referred to Dr. Gilani. It got to the point where she dreaded seeing her because she felt she "got in trouble" with her. A doctor should, first and foremost, educate and communicate their patients. No one needs to be humiliated for their shortcomings.
Horrible, rude staff...attempts to tell you medical advice even though...duh...they r not drs nor nurses!...refuse to help u and lie. Incompetent dr who doesn’t know anything. Even with an appt, u end up sitting there for 2 hours. Seriously, look for someone else..you will be better off.
This Doctor was very angry and rude. She seemed to be trying to start an argument with me. I will never go back to this mean spirited disordered individual. I don’t recommend this horrible experience to anyone.
My parents have been patients of Dr. Gilani for over twenty years. She orders tests, e-rays and visits to specialists in order to give the best care to her patients.
I can't say enough about Dr. Gilani. I referred my 65 year old husband as well as my 20 year old son. It's amazing how she relates to all ages and treats each patient with dignity and respect. She does a full and complete exam and makes you responsible for your own health. She even gives you written instructions for taking your medication and follow-up exams. No other doctor does that. Her staff is friendly, helpful and professional.
I've been a patient of Dr Gilani's over 10 years and would never leave. She is respected by her peers and extremely knowledgeable
Dr. Gilani is set in her ways and while she appeared to be listening closely at my first appointment, that was the only time that ever happened. I just went to establish a primary care doctor. I had some routine bloodwork done after my initial visit, and I called back two weeks later to ask if anything was abnormal. The nurse said that no news was good news, and that Dr. Gilani would call if there was anything I needed to know.Three months later I began having health issues and went back in. She asked me if I'd been taking my vitamin every day for my deficiency. I said, "What deficiency?"It turned out that my bloodwork months earlier had shown a serious vitamin deficiency and despite the fact that I even called to double check, I was not informed. She did teach me an important lesson, though: always pick up a copy of your test results and look over them yourself.
I wish I had listen to the other reviewers but I really needed to see a doctor and this doctor just had many appointments available (guess that should've been my first red flag). I left her office feeling completely humiliated because she basically opened the door and screamed out my test results for all the staff and other patients to hear, which I am 100% sure is a violation of my HIPPA rights. Then when I tried to ask her about my results, she either couldn't or wouldn't give me a straight answer and called me out for not listening to her when I waited for more than an hour to see her and just wanted 15 mins of her time to have her go over my results in detail. I will never go back to this doctor again. She was rude, condescending, and impatient. Basically the opposite of what a good doctor should be! I really should have heeded the advice of a previous reviewer by checking this doctor's certification first. In fact, she was right, this doctor isn't board certified: certificationmatters.org…

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
