I called to make an appointment as a new patient. The lady that answered was irritable without me saying anything that might be considered rude. She asked who referred me and sighed before I could say my primary and that with my insurance I don't even need a referral but still had one. Looking for another office.

I'm back!!! Dr. Jacob Korula is the best of the best!! God places amazingly gifted beings in one's path when one needs it most. While desperately seeking a specialist for a painful benign liver tumor I was directed by serendipity to an amazing gastroenterologist, Dr. Shahnawaz Jaffer in Covina, who is the most caring, compassionate doctors that just wants to get you well. However, little did I know he would direct me to his colleague, Dr. Jacob Korula who is also a gastroenterologist, but most important to me a HEPATOLOGIST to render care to may painful benign liver mass, a true expert in his field and equally amazing, caring.... #blessed #grateful...#passinate.

First off, Dr. Jacob Korula, thank you, thank you, thank you, and thanks to Elsa, your fabulous assistant for working to help me when I've needed any assistance !!Going forward...Dr. Korula, who is a Liver Diseases and Liver Transplantation specialist is extremely knowledgeable, and so very likable... I've had been having on and off again pain for almost two years (2020 & 2021), and after several ultrasounds, CT scans and a MRI my wonderful primary doctor, Dr. Wen-Chi Chung suggested I go to Dr. Jaffer, a GI specialist in Covina for his opinion regarding mass lesions in the liver. During my appointment with Dr. Jaffer he patiently listen to my story, and afterwards he ran my lab work. While at my appointment he called and discussed my problem with Dr. Korula, and Dr, Korula scheduled my appointment(s) immediately. Thank god I did because I would never have found Dr. Korula. I took all my CD scans to the appointment, which afterwards Dr. Korula uploaded them to the system at Good Samaritan Hospital for review with the radiologist. Doctor discussed with me the benefit of having the Red Blood Cell Liver scan, which I agreed to having done. The doctor ordered the test and it has been scheduled on 9/27/21 at Arcadia Methodist Hospital Nuclear Medicine Department. As of this date, I am optimistic the scan will come back favorable, and no biopsy of the mass will be needed. I know I'm in good hands going forward.

Dr. Korula has been pivotal in helping me restore my health, confidence and overall well-being. "Thank you" is not nearly enough!

Dr jackob korula is the great doctor with professional knowledge and care I recommend every one with any liver problems contact him he is not there to take only your insurance but health always comes first. He treat my mom with liver problem and I really see positive things happening to her after seeing dr korula in good samaritan hospital THANK YOU DOCTOR GOD BLESS YOU

I found him to be very knowledgeable. He was methodical in his approach to rule out what was wrong with me. As I was ready to jump at many different approaches, he was very practical in his approach. I find him to be very calming.

My wife was recomded to see Dr, korula for chronic low levels of Hb (harmoglobin) she had seen the best GI guys in DC and Ca. And had all tests done including upper and lower GI with biopsies. No body could diagnose what was the cause, Dr Korula nailed the diagnosis on the first visit and treated her for three weeks now it’s two years and maintains a normal Hb. He is the best diagnostician I have seen

This physician could have cared less about me. I was referred to him by my general doctor. Korula was very arrogant. And he gave incorrect information. He was a waste of my time.

I do not know how to express my gratitude towards Dr. Korula and his staff. I am so lucky to have him as my Dr. for over 10 years and I am very happy with his care.
