List of Lauren Dimen Md's Reviews
She has been horrible. I brought my kid in with bruises from ex husband. Nothing. She was hospitalized in Huntington ER-she went in coma before they admitted her. Dimen never called. A nurse was inappropriate with toddler. Dimen pinned me to wall for reporting. She only billed, billed, billed. No loyalty for chronic ear infections, etc.
I brought my toddler in all bruised and beaten from her father and Dr. Dimen did nothing although mandated reporters. When my daughter had a kidney infection and was hospitalized, make staff practically pulled her underwear off to describe although kidneys are much higher. I reported him. When Dimen found out she pushed me against the wall.
This is tough because the office is an absolute nightmare!!! I have waited for an hour for my son to be seen with an appointment. The Dr., is not warm and fuzzy, so if you want that go elsewhere. She might not even say hi to your child or even acknowledge they are there. BUT she is very thorough in her notes and examination. Some doctors might spend a lot of time getting to know your child and having them be comfortable while not doing as thorough as an examination. And vise versa. She is all about business. If the wait time wasn't horrendous I would give more stars.
We've been with her for ten years and she's the best there is! She's very caring, always listens to our concerns and her diagnoses are always spot on. The staff is super friendly and very helpful.
We've been with her for ten years and she's the best there is! Very caring and her staff is very friendly and helpful too!
She is very caring and takes the time to listen to our concerns, always! We've been with her for ten years and have been so grateful to have her. Her diagnoses are always right on and she's always so good with my girls. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff is super friendly.
Dr. Dimen has been my boys pediatrician since birth (they are now 7 and 8). I have been, and continue to be, extremely happy with the level of care my children receive from her. She listens to my concerns and answers all of my questions in an honest, straightforward manner. The answer may not always be what I want to hear, but she definitely gives it to me straight. I don't feel rushed during our visits, in fact she has had to ask me to slow down during wellness checkups. When my youngest was 18 months old, she was concerned that he was not as verbal as he should be. Though many parents told me doctors do not always know best and I should just let him be, at Dr. Dimen's insistence I contacted Regional Center for a speech assessment. He ended up having speech therapy for 5 years!! As well as hearing tests, adenoids and tonsils removed. It turned out he had an articulation disorder and early intervention was extremely important! We owe a lot to Dr. Dimen who truly does have the child's best interest at heart.
We love Dr. Dimen. I wish I know her earlier. She's my daughter's 3rd pediatrician. I don't think she's rude nor rush, in fact, she's very professional, patient and intelligent. If you waited long, she apologized right away. She is just a straight forward person. Whenever I ask her questions I don't even finished talking, she already get it and answer. During the annual physical exam, she spent so much time explaining the procedure the chart the growth which make me and my daughter feel so informative and understand about body changes during puberty. Girls seeing female doctor are better as to avoid embarrassment. She will tell you what vaccines you are going to take today and explain well what are the vaccines for. She makes sure you understand everything she said. My daughter won't feel uncomfortable seeing her which you know there's a difference between her and other doctors. There's one time my daughter was sick, she even called me to check on my daughter the next day. THANK YOU Dr. Dimen, and we LOVE you!
Very Professional
My 5 month old went to the ER for breathing issues and congestion and was prescribed albuterol to help his breathing as well as amoxicillin for an ear infection. I had been instructed to do a follow up visit at our pediatrician and I called to make our appt and our regular Ped was unavailable. This dr was who we were able to see. She came in and did not even introduce herself. She listened to him and the. Fact that he'd been sick over a week and stated that it "could be viral" and also that the albuterol "may not help viral" and then said that we could do nothing aside from "wait it out" .... my older son has had breathing problems, I've seen how quickly these things can turn into pneumonia and I mentioned my concern, she still insisted all we could do was "wait it out", when we had already been waiting it out with his congestion and breathing for a week or more and his breathing had seen no improvements and his appetite was down. I should have stood up to her and requested a chest X-ray and more help but I felt intimidated by her rushed attitude and condescending nature. Needless to say, two days later we ended up at Urgent care because his breathing still had not improved and you just don't mess around with breathing. Urgent care dr ordered chest X-ray which revealed bronchiolitis and we were given meds that cleared up his congestion and breathing so quickly. I am so unimpressed with Dr. dimen and will make sure that we avoid seeing her in the future.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
