Worst reception staff you can get, the girl is rude, lousy and irresponsible! I hope Dr. Chu aware of this issue.

Don't know why my previous review was deleted. Repost it. Michael M. Chu, M.D., is a ridiculously irresponsible person, completely having no business of being a physician.Here is my horror story. After I had a tele-consulting session with him, and told him I had internal bleeding, he said that, based on my symptoms, I needed a colonoscopy asap. He said that he would get the insurance approval and get back to me immediately. Six days later, I heard nothing from his office and called. Nobody answered the phone. I left a message. Nobody got back to me. I sent an email to the address that arranged the tele-consulting and the collection of my $80 co-pay. Nobody answered the email. I kept this up, calling his office number and his "cell" number, repeatedly, all to void, until 26 days later, when I sent an email to his email address, telling him that I will no longer use his service and will write about my experience. I immediately got a call saying that they did not get any of my messages. So this guy is not only irresponsible but also a liar.He completely knows my problem needs immediate attention and knowingly, with his lies ever on the ready, delayed diagnosis and treatment. How can someone like Michael M. Chu be operating in this community of ours, with so many other similar horror stories online after I checked. Besides being a liar, he is also shameless.So I have to get back to the line and waited for another month to see another doctor. He also said that I need a colonoscopy asap. When I talked to his assistant, his next available spot was in more than two months.His assistant called me the next morning and said that the doctor had told her to add another procedure to his schedule for me immediately. Chu made that phone call heart-warming!Stay away from Michael Chu, the irresponsible shameless liar. With that attitude toward his patient, you should be able to imagine his medical abilities before you call his office. I imagine that there must be other physicians like him around. So I would study before putting my health on any physician like Michael Chu.Please be assured:MICHAEL CHU DOES NOT WANT TO SEE YOU!

Don't expect them to call you, email you or follow up with you. I wonder how they survived.

Very irresponsible office girl. I don't think she should answer the phone before she does care; instead, you want to see Dr. Chu or not. It took me almost a month to email patient application forms because she didn't send you a complete form at once. Once you completed the forms and waiting and waiting. You don't hear until I called back the 3Two weeks, she said I had not completed the, I told her I did & when she found it, she said they r too busy to call back. This is crazy. I already had a schedule three weeks ago, and she screw-up with irresponsible. Now I have to wait for another 3wks later. I hope dr. Chu knows what is going on in his office. " DO NOT RECOMMEND."

Michael Chu's team is very irresponsible ，phone call can't get through, email doesn't reply, they won't reply you everything, they should be closed permanently. Don't come here

I was going to leave a five star review for the video call I had with Dr Chu and the colonoscopy. But the follow up after has been ridiculous. I need to have genetic counseling and was told my Dr Chu it requires bloodwork. But their office submitted the wrong code to my insurance. When speaking to Dr Chu's office the receptionist didn't have any answers and instead of getting them, literally just said well I don't know. Unacceptable.

I was not really impressed with Dr. Michael Chu in the office. My primary Dr. sent me to him for colonoscopy. But the procedure itself is what really bothered me. During prep, he sat in the corner reading while nurses and others prepared me. He was completely removed from my care. Never came over to say hello before I was put under anesthesia. Never showed his face after I woke up. I've had recurring pain since that procedure and am left wondering if some kind of damage was done. He's in it for the money folks. Zero bedside manner. No compassionate care.

He scheduled surgery for my mom twice and cancelled last minute both times and she has been throwing up throughout this whole process and never resolved the issue ... extremely disappointed coming from someone who is also a healthcare professional...

Today I am seeing my G.i. specialist for probably the last time. Although, I'm being sent to a new G.i specialist at USC I will be grateful to the team here finding the cause of my symptoms and not dismissing them like my prior specialist. The staff is & has been a professional and empathetic group of people to interact with as well as dr. Michael Chu. Everyone who feels something not quite right inside will find answers here in a professional and compassionate manner.

This is my abdomen specialist, someone who I have outstanding faith in. Lets go back in time about 3 years ago. I was experiencing pretty intense cramping and Abdominal pain as well as bleeding on occasion. I had met with my primary doctor concerning my symptoms that seemed to be escalating. My primary. Doctor sent me to a specialist in Monterey park by the name of Perez. She wasn't the warmest physician that I had seen but, she came with positive recommendations although I must beg to differ.... I had my appointment & we had discussed what I was experiencing. & what I had researched on Web MD and she became suddenly dismissive with me.. I was already feeling nauseous and I chose to ignore her mood swing . She said that my symptoms were nothing more than a reaction to my being over stressed and possibly a little hypochondriac... I then asked what was the game plan to discover the cause and she then said that she could run a colonoscopy and possibly have a scan done. Fast forward, she is going over her findings and tells me that she's found nothing & perhaps I don't need to come back unless she requests a follow up. I pressed her & asked why I felt this way & she said perhaps I had diverticulitis. She explained that it was holes in my intestines & I corrected her with pockets? Fast forward to today... I have stage 2 stomach cancer and I have already had a couple of surgeries to remove clusters of tumors. Dr. Michael Chu on day one, 20 minute111s into my 1st appointment & going over symptoms and changes in my health he asked why dr. Perez hadn't ordered a scan & endoscopy...? Why I hadn't been sent for specific blood work.. He offered a possible diagnosis, I had an appointment that following week for a colonoscopy, camera down the throat and a MRI.... he is a thorough physician!He basically saved my life..... I was originally told that I didn't have to come back to dr. Perez, she would contact me if anything changed....Had I listened to dr. Perez I'd be living my life with great deal of anguish and discomfort still bleeding and gastric swelling... All that was needed was basically 20 minutes of real medical attention and care to notice the tumors within my stomach. ( am I angry.... hostile? Because I was dismissed by someone who I was trusting with my care....
