List of Rami Apelian Md's Reviews
The appointment was at 9am but we waited till 10:30am. We sent the the result via email . Nobody told us to bring the CD. Dr. Rami Apelian yelled and cursed at the nurse for not having the CD ready. He lied about not seeing any images through the shared link. I brought out my laptop and showed to them. He asked us to leave. He knew that we live in OC and drove all the way here to see him. I dont feel comfortable with him after thid incident. I dont recommend Rami Apelian to anybody!
Amazing doctor, amazing staff! Dr. Apelian is extremely professional and thorough. I feel very fortunate to have been referred to him.His staff is also professional and personable. If I could give the doctor and staff a 10, I would!!!
I was really hoping at least for everyone else's sake that had seen this doctor to not have had anywhere close to the same experience I had, but unfortunately it looks like that isn't the case. I can't say I'm surprised, just more so saddened that others as well as myself had to experience the unprofessionalism Dr. Apelian seemed to exude. I read a lot of other disappointed reviews and I couldn't agree more with them. From the complete and total lack of interest and respect while attempting to explain your symptoms and feelings, to the belittling of his patient as if we aren't seeking his medical advice for a reason. For someone who had to go through psychiatry and psychology courses to be in the position he is in today, you would think, or at the very least, hope, that he would be able to show some compassion and empathy, especially with patients who are being vulnerable. I was referred to him by another doctor I am currently seeing and that doctor warned me and told me it was so unfortunate that the previous neurologist he used to refer people to had passed away and to just be patient. I didn't immediately book an appointment with him because what my previous doctor said to me made me nervous. I looked around at other neurologists and wasn't able to find an appointment that didn't have longer than a 3 month wait time, so I took my chances with this Dr and honestly I wish I would've waited to see another one. He would ask me questions regarding my medical history and upon providing responses to him he would cut me off and tell me it was a yes or no response. I'm sorry, but how do you respond yes or no to a question about the affects of your medication? I fortunately have a strong back bone and didn't let this dr or his words get to me, he's just another reason why this world is trash. He kicked me out of his office for calling him out, must've bruised his big ego, poor baby. I wish my review ended there, but nope, he took it a step further and reported false information to DMV who suspended my license. I am not one to put my life or others in danger and would fully accept a suspension, but I've done nothing wrong, he just couldn't be a mature adult, which isn't surprising. I will be reporting him to the psychiatric and psychology board as well as anywhere else I can to ensure that he does not ever speak to another human the way he spoke to me again. This world is going through more than enough stress, trauma, illnesses, deaths, shootings, the world is literally crumbling under our feet, it'd be nice to have medical professionals who actually cared and listened instead of being there to collect a fat paycheck. In short, don't waste your time with this Dr unless being degraded is something you enjoy.
Listens to your complaints, spends time with you, orders tests and explains results. Listens to your concerns and your point of view. Agree and agrees to disagree as needed. Involves family in your care and listens to their concerns.
Rude, consided, he talks down to you...unless that's just a female thing.

I've only had my first visit with Dr. Apelian. I was very impressed. He was engaging, asked lots of questions, was very thorough and put a plan together for me with a follow up. We'll see how it goes, but I give him a big thumbs up. Staff was helpful and polite.
After suffering headaches for years and consulted many Doctors, Dr Apellian found the problem and solución to my headaches.
Dr Apelian has been very thorough with my medical issues. I'm thankful i found a specialist who takes his time with you. Unfortunately i had a lot of other specialist in the past who "know it all" and misdiagnosed me several times. Even though we still haven't found a diagnosis with my neurological issues Dr. Apelian is actually running test to rule out all possible issues my symptoms resembles. I'm very satisfied with care I've been given. The office staff is great as well!
I was referred to this Neurologist by my insurance, I called yesterday and today and spoke to the same rude receptionist named Jennifer. I can't believe how rude she was, she even told me even if I have a authorization to the office Dr Apelian has to look it over to decide if he even wants to see me. I work in the dental field and we not only do we do great work but we also have a great staff that treats everyone with respect. Her lack of respect and response to my questions were horrible. Don't bother going here, you can't even get in the door.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
