Thomas Powers's Online Review Report Card

Edit 12/2019: too bad he has retired. I cannot give more than three stars. I think Dr. Powers is fantastic, I give him five,He is surprisingly easy to talk to, about health issues I don't even discuss with close friends. He is knowledgeable about available options. His back office staff (nurse) is good.His office staff had improved, thank goodness, as this year my letter wasn't full of typographical errors. Sadly, his billing person is still nearly impossible to deal with. Even the doctor complains about the insurance issues but I don't think he realizes his difficulty is likely because of his biller. She spent my whole visit on a personal call. But I still go because Dr. Powers is that good.

Dr. Powers is wonderful. He is easy to talk to about these difficult matters I don't even discuss with my closest friends. There is a new receptionist who is MUCH better than the previous and the nurse is new too.But Meredith, the billing person, is why I cannot give five stars. She is unprofessional, during my entire visit she was on a personal call. I heard her complain to a coworker before answering the phone about the patients. She was unable to work with my electronic card. My theory of why the doctor doesn't like dealing with insurance is because she is a problem.Dr. Powers is fantastic, especially with these difficult stage of life issues, and he makes them easier to deal with.

Dr. Powers is absolutely wonderful. He spends a good amount of time with his patients and explains medical issues throughly. His medical assistant, Kristen is very polite and helpful. The front office manager, Meredith is very friendly and helpful also. Thank you all for providing outstanding service.

Dr. Thomas Powers is amazing. I went to several other specialists who misdiagnosed me and would never call me back when I had questions or concerns. I got more out of my 1st visit with Dr. Powers then I did with all the other visits with the previous doctors combined. Whenever I have a question or concern I leave a voicemail (after hours) the next morning he himself calls back. He actually listens to my concerns and helps me rather than typing away on a laptop and writing RXs like other specialists do. He has even helped me in other health issues that don't concern him but he gives me advice and guidance. I have nothing but good things to say about him.

Dr. Powers has always been very thorough and responsive to my issues. His staff has also been sympathetic to me regarding health concerns. I can't believe that anyone would give him or his office a poor rating!

Front office lady is so rude! She must be related to someone to still have a job. I even heard her yell at the doctor for not doing something her way! She also made a motion to the doc to hurry up while he was talking to a patient!

Horrifying Place!I totally agreed with the previous reviews - - a horrifying place, savage environment and abusive staff; especially Maredith (office mgr), who is sarcastic, hostile, hateful, and an anti-patients bully. Don't recommend this place to anyone!

Dr. Powers is awesome. He takes the time to ask questions and make sure he answers all your questions. He makes something unpleasant go by quickly. Love the pictures on his ceiling!!!

Dr. Thomas Powers also concurs in surgery report that I have soft bones but does not fulfill his duties to "do no harm'. The age of my bones at the time of the DEXA was 13yrs my senior, beyond fracture assessment. He assisted on my surgery in 2012. Still disabled.

This office is a horrible - the stuff is rude and lazy, the dr is rude. they put nude images pages ripped off from magazines on the roof right on top of the examination table....it's like a horror movie!
