Humboldt Open Door Clinic's Online Review Report Card

I have medicine for my heart and blood pressure run out no refill all day on hold no one will answer. The phone system must be broken. Wow I am going to have to go to the hospital and endanger my life during a pandemic, wow.

The staff at the Open Door Clinic in Mankato, MN need your help Mr. Starr. The administration is actively pushing out essential workers like CNP and Behavioral Specialists, leaving the facility with 1 person for each field. This horrible administration has now left people like myself, no other option than to go to a hospital. Open Door Clinic has turned its back on our community and there staff. Truly hoping you take a look into the administration before the facility runs out of essential staff.

Open Door in Arcata has been my primary care office for 7 years. Before that I was with a private group in Eureka which would leave me hanging for days. I could go on &on but this is not a review of them.  So, I switched to Open Door. Yes, the receptionist are not always perky but sitting this COVID crisis had been so helpful and really followed through. It is too bad the medical assistants have changed a few times over the years, but after getting to know them they have each been good (able and friendly). I am an older client and have health issues to match. Plus, I'm a long term cancer survivor, had radiation & chemo, and will continue to deal with side effects for the rest of my life. And now my doctor. Dr. Z. has  been one of the finest, most knowledgabe, and caring doctors I have ever had. He has solved 2 treatment mysteries that have been dogging me for YEARS. when needed, his referrals have been excelent. And finally the lab staff. I have always been a tough draw and "The 2 Marks" are amaizing. (Sadly, one Mark has now retired.) Dry humor, efficient, and so capable! If a referee dr. wants a draw I get the orders and take them to the Open Door lab. I feel very lucky to have the Open Door for my primary care!

Just called to make an appointment and the lady on the phone was so unbelievably rude and not helpful at all and all I was trying to do was set up an appointment. Get new employees that have some decency

No qualms with pediatrics. However, they seem to think that leaving long term patients without having any provider assigned to them for months on end, to be an acceptable standard of patient care (previous provider left the area). Can't even seem to have a nurse call back, to be seen acutely. Continuity of care rates a zero, at this point.

This time I am not taking my review down. This is the third incident. This is bordering on malpractice. I don't know if it technically rises to the legal threshold needed for an outside authority to take action, but you clearly need competition in this community. The gaslighting by your support staff is sickening. You deserve to be publicly shamed.

the one in crescent city is worthless

Open Door has been my provider since I moved to the area. They have always treated me with dignity and helped me to make choices about my health and my family. They are amazing and I would recommend them to everyone.

I want to talk specifically about prescriptions. I told my provider that I would be going out of town. I requested that my prescription be filled before I had to leave. I was promised that would happen. I spent the day before my flights calling my pharmacy, calling and emailing the clinic trying to get the prescription I was promised. Not only did that not happen. I did not get an email or phone response about my many requests. If the clinic had not intended to fulfill my request, it would have been much better if they had just said so out front. Instead they lied and ignored me. My travel and business meetings are much less comfortable than they should have been. Thanks a lot Open Door for being such flakes!

I am new to the area . Have a full needs granddaughter i care for.and just love everyone from member services(Kat) too front desk workers and Kathy the social worker, to the Dee Dee Dr marwahs nurse. Dr marwah is very thorough and caring doctor... They all listen and will bend over backwards to help with any all needs. Thank you all for everything you do
