List of David Palchak's Reviews
Don't read all the 5 star reviews. I will give him zero if I have an option. My husband went to see him in May 2021. After diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome). He basically told my husband and I that he only has 6 months to live. He can participate the trial study, but it will only help the next generation, not him. Then we asked what he can do, is there anything else to it? He said no, but he can monitor his blood result every month. Then we went to see another Oncologist / Hematologist in So Cal. In fact, there are some different medicines out there. You can try this, try that. Not just do nothing. Dr. Palchak is not a patient doctor in our mind. He shoudn't practice medicine any more due to his lack of knowledges and outdated as a medical doctor. He should be ashamed of himself. Very unethical to tell the patient that you only have 6 months of life. Pathetic!!
I have recommended Dr. Palchak to many of my friends. I have been so impressed by his knowledge, professionalism, and compassion. He is top-notch! With my first bout with breast cancer, I had a different oncologist who was supposed to be reputable, but whom I would give a grade of C-. When I had breast cancer a second time, I asked to change my oncologist to Dr. Palchak and I am so glad I did! He never seems rushed and is very thorough. He keeps up on the latest treatments and can answer questions, not only with his opinion but with the opinion of others, which he will gladly share with you from his computer if you ask. I feel he looks after my health in detail, not only in regard to my breast cancer but overall. I highly recommend him!
The overwhelming positive reviews is ultimately why my significant other initially selected PCR Onclgy/Dr. Palchak as her primary oncologist. Our experience seems important to mention for potential future patients. After a half a year and more than 3 failed lines of treatment, we learned that Dr. Palchak was not suited to perform advanced hospital-based treatments that would have otherwise been attempted had we went to UCLA/Cedars-Sinai/Stanford from the get go. Further, one of the tertiary chemo treatments Palchak administered is directly attributed to damaging my SO's liver to the extent that surgical interventions were no longer an option. Hindsight being 20/20. This is probably what killed her. We were ultimately put into a corner and no further treatments could be performed. Given this, I would strongly encourage anyone seeking treatment with Palchak to pivot to a university if the first line treatment fails. My love could be alive with me today had we known this information.
Dr. Palchak is very professional and thorough. He has a compassionate approach and provides all of the information needed to make decisions. His staff is efficient and very friendly. I highly recommend him.
This Doctor, and his entire team, are stellar. There are not enough glowing terms with which to describe their professional yet personal approach to their patients. My advice? ...if someone you love has cancer, know that there's no one more thorough and caring than Dr. Palchak and those who work alongside him.
This Gentleman is Stellar and I for one have not met a better doctor in my life. He is very genuine and thorough. He always explains in both technical and layman terms, he has a quick wit about him and is always concerned for this patient. An Amazing guy!
My husband might be alive today had he had Dr. Palchak in his life sooner, A wonderful, caring Dr. I thank him so much for really stepping up to help my husband, the only one who did.
Dr. Palchak is very professional. He has a compassionate approach and provides well-informed guidance to help make decisions about your health. He is very thorough and listens patiently. Great experience.
I am grateful I was referred to Dr Palchak. He is considerate listening, honest in his response, and his explanations are based on current scientific data. Staff are all very competent.
Don’t be late for appointments because the lead receptionist will drill it into you that you were late. I have stage 4 cancer and it would take me 45 minutes to arrive at their office from my home. They charged me $25 for arriving late. The office staff also passes along any patient problems between each other that it’s difficult to know who’s handling what. It took me nearly two years to resolve an insurance billing error they created. As far as Dr. Palchak, he was very rude and impatient during a physical exam when I asked a question. His response was, “I only have time to give you an examination or to answer your question. I can’t do both! Which do you want?” His reply really floored me so I ceased talking during his physical exams of me. He doesn’t perform miracles and if side effects to treatment don’t correspond to research by the NIH database, he’s at a loss for an explanation. During my initial consult, he spent more time gloating about his tumor board than talking about me

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
