The staff at Dr Ecklund's office, Central Coast Foot Clinic were very professional, but the care that I received by Dr. Ecklund for my heel pain, was not acceptable. Dr. Ecklund hardly touched my foot and he was not forth-coming with any solutions to my pain, in fact he hardly talked at all, he gave me the impression that he didn't care about my heel pain and basically just wanted out of the exam room. When I asked if there were other methods available to lift my heel, He basically said that the cork heel lift, that the other podiatrist gave me, was the only option and he suggested giving me a cortisone shot to ease the pain. The shot he gave me was extremely painful and the next day the pain was 10 times worse. I have since sought out an other medical professional. I was told after an extensive exam of my foot and ankle, the heel pain is from irritated nerves caused from the cork heel lift. I have been directed to not use the cork heel lift and to stretch my heel several times a day to relieve the pain. Dr. Ecklund was not helpful at all, in fact his actions added to my foot pain.

I have already recommended Dr. Ecklund to my neighbors and friends. He very efficiently took care of a hematoma that developed on the top of my right foot due to a blunt force injury. I was up and around in no time. He listened patiently to me and explained, in language that I could understand, what the procedure would entail. His warm personality and concern for my wellbeing made an unpleasant accident into a positive experience. I wish he was my general practitioner. I understand he will be opening another office in Templeton, which will be easier for me to visit in the future.
