List of Timothy Tidwell's Reviews
My most recent visit was for the annual wellness check. Dr. Tidwell is always easy to talk with, he listens, asks questions and gives his thoughts and recommendations. I've never had a doctor that appeared to care so much about his patients as an individuals and a whole person. I moved from Atascadero almost 2 years ago but gladly drive back to keep Dr. Tidwell my primary care physician.
Dr. Tidwell has always been prepared and knowledgeable. He listens and is very informed about genuine patient care. I appreciate his wisdom and honesty.
Dr. Tidwell took over care of my senior mother with a complicated and complex ongoing health history. He’s knowledgeable, kind and takes the time to address all my mother’s health issues and concerns. We also found the online Dignity Health system to be very efficient, organized and patient user friendly.
My last visit was the first time I have seen him in two years! When I tried to voice my concerns he stated to me that I shouldn't be offended but have I had a drug test recently and ordered one including one for ethanol glycol! Wth! I went ahead and did the blood test to prove .y point that I have genuine concerns and not on any drugs! I felt extremely insulted and couldn't believe that he said that and ordered it! I even had MRIs done showing I have conditions that have gotten worse and need attention so when I called his office to go over them as well as to see about if my referral for my CT scan was sent in...I was told he would have to review it and get back to me when he can and then scheduled me very far out as their "next available" appt. I know I'm not his only patient however I wish I was treated better and fairly!
I would recommend Dr. Tidwell for anyone and everyone I know.
I have been with this doctor for over a year and it has never felt to me that he has heard anything I've said. He always seems defensive and does what is his best interest from ordering very expensive medications he does not tell me he is going to order that I don't need and don't want to not refilling medications I do need on a timely basis so that I have to go without several days in a row until (it appears) he is ready to refill it. Everyone has their own experience, of course, but mine has left me wondering if he just does not like me because I'm a woman...because I'm an older woman...because he doesn't like Jews?! I don't look or need a doctor or their office to make me feel better but I also do not need a doctor AND their office to treat me with so much ineptitude and disregard that I leave feeling worst than when I went in. I don't need to be preached to every visit!
I have had positive interactions with Dr. Tidwell on each occasion. He is kind and considerate, has general concern for the well-being of his patients, and is very knowledgeable in his field. If you are searching for the right physician, I would highly recommend Dr. Tidwell and his office.
Dr. Timothy Tidwell is an excellent doctor... he was very well prepared for my 1st visit and had researched and studied my medical history with increadible accuracy! I love his staff and the constant communication they employ with me regarding referrals and appointments. I have recommended many of my old school guy friends to see him.
Wonderful Doctor - refreshingly honest and knowledgable - empathetic and kind
Dr Tidwell was not only quite inconsiderate of my time (on both occasions) but he was quite dismissive of my concerns and became what seemed to be insulted when I inquired of his findings and wanted to compare my last lab results from my previous physician who he had replaced. He actually said his feelings wouldn’t be hurt if I needed to find a new dr and that maybe I would be more satisfied with someone else! I found that rude and insulting! We are our own best advocate! As a patient you should be able to ask questions! Especially when the dr says “Do you have any questions?” So rude

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
