I went in for a dog bite. I was not given pain medicine even when I saw the provider even with pain at 10/10 yet on a different visit with pain 4/10 the filed me full of IV morphine even when I said I didn't need it. Finally I was given a Norco & told they were cleaning the wounds now. With out active pain control. I asked about what would be done & was told they have me Norco, but I literally JUST swallowed the pill 5 seconds ago. They lied & said they were cleaning the wound with straight saline ( which I know from working in wound care was untrue) They were rude when I declined to let them work on it while in 10/10 pain. They did not cover the wound before sending me for imaging. After 30 minutes I told them the Norco was starting to help & they could try to clean it. After several minutes of saline & betadine flushing my pain was way beyond what I could tolerate. I was chastised & mad fun of by staff to other staff for being in extreme pain. I have worked in reconstructive hand surgery for almost 5 years & seen people lose part of their hand for smaller bites than mine. Yet, I belittled & made fun of for being concerned about the structures of my hand & wanting to get the pain control

The entire staff made me feel comfortable, and cared for. I'm grateful for Bakersfield Adventist, and a special thank you to the pastor who prayed for me.

My experience was little scary went in issue swallowing, Doctor examined me and pin pointed the issue advised me what had to be done so we went ahead with recommendation and was able to go home that morning. Still have one other issue but will be going to my primary for that. Thank Doctor for listening to me and helping me.

I have had previous issues with anesthesia. The anesthesiologist was prepared and took precautions. I was extremely afraid and the surgical staff and Doctor were all very kind and professional. I especially appreciated Brian and Mel and the kindest nurse who stayed with me throughout my procedure (I wish I remembered her name!) with Dr. Ristagi that day.

Had a surgical procedure on 8/29/25. Nursing staff was excellent! Procedure was delayed for 2-3 hours as the doctor was busy at another hospital. Once he arrived, the process moved efficiently, and he was apologetic about the delay. A nurse named June in the G.I. Section was especially supportive and helpful during the whole process.

When I walked in to get Care in the emergency room, I thought the check-in process was quick and efficient. Staff was friendly and compassionate, and that was true throughout my time at the hospital. The staff, including nurses, doctors, transportation, imaging staff, etc. were very efficient and knowledgeable. When you feel at your worst and trying to get help and scared, it was comforting to feel like you were getting professional services.

Honestly, while I may have been upset about how long I had to stay, that was a mean issue not a them issue. They always had my best interest in mine and I truly don't believe I would be alive nor would my baby if it wasn't for the doctors and nurses at thr Labor and Delivery Department. Angie, Allison, Gemma, Vivette, Tiarra, Laura, Anna, Theresa, and so many more whom I wish I could name and tell you were so wonderful in the scariest time in my life. Mike and Jenn (I think that was her name, sorry) in anesthesia were phenomenal, I was so terrified that I was shaking uncontrollably and they helped calm me down. Thank you all. I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for Dr. Hoang, no doubts in my head. The NICU staff for caring for our daughter so well when she was born so early and tiny. Everyone there is so phenomenal I am so blessed.

Overall I had an amazing experience. My only downside is that the registration person gave me my estimated cost and didn't give me any other options but to pay the full amount.

Best service, the whole team in service was exceptional, they made me feel cared.

My daughter and grand baby are here at the ER, the restroom have no baby changing tables, The nurses in charge of the back emergency room will not allow me back there so my daughter can use the bathroom. She cannot put her baby on the dirty ground. I'm willing to swap or even watch her for ten minutes and come back out ..... But it is there call to say yes or no and it was a big NO they are not allowing visitors. It's call a restroom break she has to pee!!!!! THIS IS NOT OK! They also didnt allow her to take her baby stroller, which was very odd.
