Conducting Rona Experimental Treatments...no thanks!

Dr. Felizarta is incredible. I fully trust his expertise as he is constantly working on case studies and in the labs in LA and Bakersfield trying to make life better for people with infectious diseases. The only negative reviews here are based on telephones not being answered (which I just experienced but I know how busy they are.. the nurses are constantly on the phone when I'm there), and one complaint about how the cancellation of an appointment disrupted a schedule. The phrase "We apologize for any inconvenience" seems to be lost on the overeager and self righteously impatient patient. Again, he is wonderful, the best in Bakersfield.

This is another doctor that believes he knows everything. After five days at Adventist health, I was sent to him where he told me everything that they had done was incorrect. When I called him on it he yelled at me and told me I need to find a new provider.I reported him to the medical board I recorded the whole conversation

Been calling for the last 15 minutes to make an appointment when the say they are open at 8:30am till 5:30pm m-f and here it is 8:50am on Monday morning and still no answer.

Dr. Felizarta has been my HIV specialist for over 20 years. When he became my Dr i was very sick and dieing. He literally saved my life with the supervision of God. At the time of our first visit he perscribed medications that were very strong and i lost even more weight. Thankfully today im a survivor 38 years

This man is a class act. Although both visits I had the lobby was full, I never felt rushed or that any of my questions were disregarded. He took the time to explain the results to every test I had in such detail I felt like I was in a college seminar. It was like hanging out with an old friend. Dr. Felizarta loves what he does and you can see he has a passion to help others. He’s from the Philippines so he took my concerns of parasites seriously which US docs don’t. Highly recommend. He and his staff have made me feel like family since day one and that was 9 years ago. Never once have I ever not seen a smile on every face. They difine excellent care.

After making an appointment 2 months in advance, setting up time off work, because the doctor only works half-days and not on Friday, which is my day off, I got a call the evening before my appointment at 4:55 p.m. saying my 10:30 appointment the next morning needed to be cancelled as the doctor could not make it. However, I had correlated another appointment being that we travel from Lake Isabella to Bakersfield, so we try to arrange as much as possible in 1 day, and I couldn't cancel that appointment so late in the day, and now Felizarta cannot get me in for another 2 months because he hardly works in the office. There must be a better ID doctor in Bakersfield, this is ridiculous.

Dr. Franco Felizarta put my husband on clinical trials with out him knowing what he was getting into. Ultimately he passed away from a overdose of blood meds.that Dr Felizarta gave him. He ended up with Leukemia and dr said it was an iron deficiency. Dr. Felizarta didn't know what he was doing!! He was treated for 1yr. Statues of law passed by so no repercussions.

Dr. Felizarta, in my opinion, is everything one would want in a doctor and more! Each and every office visit I had was a pleasant experience. He and his entire staff were always competent, accommodating and friendly on each and every visit. Dr. Felizarta is very intelligent, very compassionate and very knowledgeable and up to date on current medical information in his field. He is warm, kind, friendly, pleasant, cheerful, up beat, patient and engaging. I never once felt rushed in an office visit. It always seemed to me that he took his time to thoroughly cover everything necessary to ensure a successful outcome to my treatment and a comfortable experience for me along my journey of recovery. Because of his medical expertise and his compassionate nature, I always felt very safe and optimistic throughout my treatment. Dr. Felizarta is a " genuine" human being. Being " genuine" is a quality I value highly in a person. Upon my first visit, I was so happy to see and experience this "genuine" quality in my doctor. Dr. Felizarta has an inate ability to balance professionalism and human warmth and he delivers both endearingly and with ease, every step of the way. I feel very fortunate having been referred to Dr. Felizarta and will always be greatful to him for all that he is and has been and done for me.
