I had heard that this doctor was good, so I made an appointment for an endoscopy that my primary care doctor wanted me to have due to some gastro issues I was having. The appointment was over three months out, but he is covered by my insurance and we don’t have many specialists in our city, so I scheduled it. Once the appointment date arrived, I checked in at the Truxtun office, and the receptionist was just rude. Then, after a very long office wait (over an hour), I was rushed through the appointment. The doctor was very inattentive, and finished with me in less than 5 minutes. When I went out to schedule my procedure, I was told it would be another three months! My mother had esophageal cancer, and I just feel that the possibility of cancer warrants a little more urgency. I wound up going to Los Angeles and paying cash out of pocket to have it done within two weeks. In a nutshell, if you have 6 months to wait on a colonoscopy or endoscopy, feel free to go here.
I went to my appointment today and he wasn't in (my mistake in not responding to a voice mail.) They offered to reschedule. In five months. First available. Since I'm not symptomatic now, I said I would call if I got sick again and asked if I could get in sooner if that occurred. They said they didn't know, it would be up to the doctor. I left and called my GP for a referral to someone else that's not too busy to see me.
After 3 years of visits, Dr. Kahla has yet to find a diagnosis or treat to help me. Now his phone line is disconnected after I made an appointment hoping one more visit would give me answers.
I have not really seen the man except to have him do an endoscopy on me in June. While the soonest I was told I could have a followup with him would be October! What's the point of that? I hope I'm alive then.
This is the worst place ever do not come here I repeat do not come here! Mary the manager and her staff are super rude and they don't care for there patient's health at all, I really mean that. They are not knowledgeable and they don't belong at a doctors office. If I can give them negative stars I would. Go to a different clinic if you care about your health.
Save a life avoid this guy at any cost, if it weren’t for him my father would still be alive. His negligence cost me my dad!!! Been calling his office for weeks for an answer and there response “ oh we conveyed your message and doctor will reach back to you “. He kept charging insurance company for his visit but never followed up for his results and when his condition got so chronic, his response was “ oh it’s too late!!! I will definitely doing my part of reporting him to the medical board.
I've seen Dr. Kahla for several years now, and I always receive great care from him and his staff. Dr.Kahla is kind, caring and thorough...all qualities one would hope for in a physician. His office staff is pleasant and helpful. I completely trust and recommend Dr. Kahla.
He’s great. Treated me with respect, and professional integrity. Gentle, caring, and refreshingly kind. To put it in simple verbiage: He’s very good at what he does??
Unprofessional
Dr. Kahla is an amazing doctor. He is willing to sit there and listen. He literally saved my life. God bless this doctor. I am so grateful for him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
