Mark Yafai's Online Review Report Card

Ludicrous bait and switch to charge $150 just for an initial conversation. They hide this when you enquire.I'd avoid and go somewhere where the patients, not the money, are the priority.

I was referred to Dr. Yifai by my dentist, Dr. Wong in Santa Monica. My entire experience was phenomenal and I've been sharing it with all my friends and family. From initial consultation to wisdom teeth surgery day, to follow-up appointment, I trusted Dr. Yifai and his staff and am incredibly grateful for their care, generosity, and kindness. My experience matched most of the reviews shared here about their wisdom teeth removal. I will be back in the fall to get my implant and will share my experience then!

I am extremely lucky to switch to Dr. Mark Yafai for my tooth implant. I had my tooth pulled and went through the bone graph and implant procedure. I only had Novaceine during the procedure and it went extremely well. Dr. Yafai prescribed pain medication and antibiotics. However, I did not need any of the prescribed pain medication after the procedure. This is a miracle as I have had 3 other implant surgeries and I was in a lot of pain and agony.I would like to thank Dr. Yafai for his incredible work and compliment him on his skills and professionalism. I highly recommend Dr. Yafai to anyone requiring implants.

Paying it forward and sharing that I found Dr. Mark on Yelp. I was in so much pain from a bottom wisdom tooth and was determined to find the best Dr. to handle and I did!They were able to fit me in the next day as I was in a lot of pain and I had Xrays the consult and the surgery on the same day. Dr. Mark is the dream combo of experience and compassion which helped a lot with my anxiety.I was able to get X-rays, consult and surgery all on the same day and decided to get a total of 3 wisdom teeth out because I did not want to deal with any future issues and all went very smoothly. The first days of recovery were rough as to be expected for my bottom tooth which did require some surgery and stitches but by the 3rd-day recovery was pretty easy,a week later I felt great and was given some additional care instructions and told to call back for anything at all. Very great bedside manner answered all my questions with patience and detailed explanations and did really fantastic work as evidenced by my easy recovery. I could not recommend him and his staff more highly and thank you to all who shared their experiences on Yelp and led me to find this great office!

Never wanted to get my wisdom teeth out, but they were growing in on the side and starting to break through the gums. Was extremely nervous about the doing it too. But with the help of Mark I was able to understand the procedure and the need for doing it.It was all so professional and with the help of 3D X-rays there I was able to see what the problem was and how he was able to fix it.The surgery itself was a piece of cake. I went in, they put me under and I woke up happy and a little delirious. But the teeth came out without any problems.Thank you Mark and team for making it so easy and actually enjoyable to do.Appreciate it all,Luke C

I got my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Yafai about a month ago and the whole thing went pretty smoothly. I got referred to him by my doctor and set up a consultation with him. They took some X-rays and went over what would be involved in removing them. He answered all of my questions and then I had set up my surgery day for a few weeks out. On the surgery day I was put in a room that was pretty well lit and then I woke up in what felt like seconds later and was done with the procedure. The first few days after the procedure were tough but after about 4-5 days I was pretty much back to normal. I then went in for a follow up a week after my surgery and they went over cleaning instructions and that was healing nicely. It went as smoothly as oral surgery can go. The office is clean, nice, and bright and they have easy parking in the back and they will validate. The only downside is that Dr. Yafai is the only oral surgeon at this office and they tend to book people very close together so you can be waiting for a bit to get to see him even when you're on time for your appointment. For my consultation he was running 30 behind, my surgery started 50 mins late and my follow up was 20 mins behind. My surgery was at 9AM and they had someone booked at 8:30AM which is cutting it pretty close. I understand that there is only one Dr. but if they could call you beforehand that he is running 30-50 mins behind so you can get some extra sleep, get some coffee, etc. that would be better than waiting in the waiting room. He does good work so I'd go back here if I ever needed to but just assume your appointment is going to start 30 mins late and I'd give them a call to check to see if he is running behind.

Actually everything that each person giving a 5-star review has said about Dr Yafai I second. He is a rare find in the field of medicine- compassionate, thorough, extremely competent and informative. What else could you ask for? Thank you Dr Yafai.

Never expected to write a review on an oral surgeon, but I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Yafai.I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Yafai last week and highly recommend him. He was kind, patient, understanding, and very reachable both before and after the procedure.He was as accommodating as possible in all ways, including financially. The folks working in the office were also extremely kind, even when I was a bit nervous. And it does not hurt that their office is clean, organized, and in a great location.Thank you, Dr. Yafai and team.

Been putting off wisdom teeth forever. Had a bridge replaced by 2 implants and went to Dr. Yafai for their removal...went as smooth as could be.So I decided to have my wisdom teeth pulled since I finally found someone I am comfortable with. Again as smooth as could be.Dr. Yafai and his staff are rockstars!

Dr Yafai is very professional and knowledgeable. He got all of my four wisdom teeth out and I had no complications and a fast recovery (I was eating 90% normal after just one week). Before the surgery I was very nervous, but he assured me he has a lot of experiences with cases similar to mine and I should be fine. And he was right! I didn't even need painkiller from day 3 onwards because he has done such an amazing job. He is also one of the few doctors I've seen who truly care about his patients' wellbeing. Him and his staff are very friendly and kind. I'll definitely recommend him to anyone who need their wisdom teeth removed!
