Very good experience with this clinic. Front desk very welcoming!

So it seems like they hired new employees. I was completely upset at how these new unprofessional workers greeted me and "helped me". To start of with, they're not very welcoming. The receptionist violated my HIPAA rules, she discussed other personal matters that had nothing to do with todays visit out loud! There was 2 other patients waiting in the waiting area!!!! Then as i was brought in to the room....My wait was 40 mins!!!!!!!!!!! and to top it off... I had to ask if i was going to get seen by the Dr.. as I had been waiting for over 30 mins....she says " oh the Dr. had an emergency".... why wasn't I informed instead they kept me waiting! I had never been so disgusted and upset with the new team! I will definitely be changing Doctors! Now I now how an office works as i work in one with similar setting.

i was frantically looking through my providers (from anthem blue cross) to see who could remove my nexplanon (birth control) because it had expired. i felt more comfortable looking for a female doctor and found Dr. Maria through the Central City Community Health Center.i had called the clinic closer to me (im in South Central) but they referred me over to Baldwin Park. I was a bit hesitant to drive out there but I felt that it would be worth it - and it definitely was! i was helped out so well by the staff, the nurses and the Doctor. Big shout-out to Crystal, Genesis and of course, Dr Maria! They're all super kind and genuine caretakers.im so glad that i had Dr Maria to help remove the nexplanon. i was pretty scared to get it removed but she and her nurses helped me relax by having really great conversations with me! the process didn't take too long and the recovery was also very smooth.even though im not super close to this location, i would still make the drive out there for my health care. thank you all so much for being so amazing!

The 1 star reviews are totally justified. Staff here is not nice to people with government health insurance. They treat people like door mats. It's so unfair to treat people mean because we can't afford private health insurance. Why aren't these places regulated to treat people better? They're always late to appointments too.

The absolute worst experience I've ever had with a psychiatrist. This place is terrible and the only reason they're in business is because they accept government health insurance. They know that people coming here don't have a choice so they treat everyone like garbage. Please avoid this place if you can.

Please avoid this place at all costs. They treat people with government health insurance like garbage. The nurse actually called me a burden to the state because I'm using government health insurance. That is inexcusable.

Lets get started by saying they NEVER answer the phone and rare when they do. I just hung up because i was on hold for 37 minuets just to make an appointment...NO ANSWER. I've complained while being there in the waiting room that they don't answer the phone and the receptionist is just sitting there on the computer while the phone is ringing none stop. Not a soul bothers to answer it. I use to love this place especially because pregnant women were in a separate building from the sick patients. But now we're all jammed together. I honestly don't know if its new management or whats happening but they need to go back to the old way. I've been coming here since 2017 and now i have to find a new clinic because i cant even make an appointment to be seen. So sad.

I just want to say Thank You so much to Jennifer, she has been so helpful. I was having some problems with my medical and she was always there to help me and we finally got it all figured out! Thanks again to Jennifer & Efrain

Central City Staff is amazing! Yolanda and the rest of the staff are very courteous and professional. They treat you like family and always have the patients best interest. Solid 5star rating! No joke, the best I have ever experienced when dealing with medical professionals and Doctors. Michael Salazar MHRT, RADT-l Full Service Partnership Case Manager. Totally lame. Worst service ever!!! The staff were like cold and distant and didn't talk much. The staff was late for my appointment, by 30 whole minutes. But that's not the worst part. The worst part is the weird psychiatrist there. I can't think of a polite way to say that lady was psycho. She was like "You people on government medical insurance owe me." And then she said something along the lines of how she would not write me a prescription for my medication unless I did exactly what she said. Insane! If I don't get my medication I could be in serious trouble. So this was basically like a threat to my life. The psychiatrist was crazy and terrible and I'm never going here again. It looks like this place has other medical services, so I'm not sure what those are like I can only review the psychiatrist lady and the staff I saw at the front desk. But my review for the psychiatrist and staff that I saw is a 0/5 stars. I can't even put into words how awful that experience was. I tried to be the bigger man and just complain to her supervisor and then I got this crazy letter telling me I wasn't welcome there anymore. I mean really? They banned me for telling the truth and blowing the whistle. I can't believe this place is still in business. Everybody needs to stop going here cause this place needs to go out of business.
