Dr. Hildebrand is an outstanding doctor who communicates clearly with both the patient and their family members. He carefully explains all of your options and allows you time to make the decision that is right for you. I had been struggling with AV block for over a year and was trying to manage it with medications. When I started having problems, Dr. Hildebrand was on call instead of the cardiologist who had been treating me. He recommended that I get a pacemaker but gave me a choice to wait for my doctor to do it or to have him place it that day. Not knowing Dr. H, I asked for time to discuss it with my family. I decided to have the pacemaker that day. I am so glad that I had the pacemaker inserted by Dr. Hildebrand. I was totally awake during the entire procedure as Dr. Hildebrand operated. He told me exactly what he was doing each step of the way. He was very careful not to hurt me and encouraged me to let him know if I was uncomfortable. Imagine being relaxed as someone puts wires in your heart! I felt and still feel so much better since the surgery two days ago. I have asked Dr. H. to do the surgical follow up. He accommodated me by fitting me into his busy schedule. He called my family after the procedure and before at my request. Dr. Hildebrand is a kind, thorough, and highly competent physician based upon reviews and patient experiences. I recommend him highly and would trust him again without hesitation.
