List of Kristine Traustason Md's Reviews
Really wish I could say something nice, since I hate to slash and burn online. But my experience was terrible in every respect. I would have gone somewhere else after the first meeting, but she is the only person who does the surgical procedure I needed in Central Oregon. I found nothing about this practice that prioritized the needs of the patient. It was like being trapped in a malevolent machine. The staff was universally tense and uncommunicative. The doctor is so clearly overbooked (and sees what 60? 80? patients a day?). This means that my condition and treatment options were not well explained, and while the surgery itself went fine (I think), the post-op visits were stunningly bad -- the doctor would typically blow into the room, tip me back in the chair, examine my eye with a bright light, mumble some numbers to her scribe, and blast out -- total time about two minutes and no information shared with me. AVOID THIS PLACE!
Long wait to be seen, doctor thought I was someone else when she came in the exam room - called me by someone else's name, said I was being seen for a different condition and said I was referred by a doctor I had never seen before. Rushed appointment, exam not thorough, short answers. I felt like she thought my eye condition wasn't worth her time and energy.
Dr. Kristine Traustason was very thorough and patient with my questions. I trust her and her staff to help preserve my eye sight.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
