I am an RN 20+ years. A 56 year old caucasian female. I went in for low abdominal pain. low back pain, mucus and frank red blood from my rectum + in stool x 10 days. Incomplete physical exam, never saw a stethoscope. The physician discounted my words like they were untrue. She relies on test results. She is a hands off doctor. I only have Medicare so she doesn't care. If you go to Alta Bates Emergency Room and "Dr." Yamamoto is assigned to you leave promptly and go to a different hospital where they practice medicine. I think Medicare/Humana w/Ami Yamamoto = No Care

Dr. Yamamoto was efficient and straight to the point in terms of physical exams and questions to check for any red flags, presented solutions with sensitivity to the current opioid epidemic.

She is great! A wealth of knowledge.

She was very thorough and helped me understand what I was facing.

Horribly out of line in her diagnosis: fainting symptoms were because of pain, despite examples of climbing through skin tears, and nails that pop off mid-climb without issue. Suggested I had poor diet and fluid intake, despite quoting her food and water intake more than sufficient for someone of my height, weight, and activity level. Suggested that low blood sugar was due to food intake instead of exercise, even though levels rebounded without any additional intake of sugars. Pressured me to take opioid medication REPEATEDLY, even though I refused. Missed slow, inaccurate motor function on left side, and said I passed the physical exam even though there was no way I should have. Missed my difficulty in forming sentences. Refused to listen to what I had to say in general. Refused to look at medical history Refused to give referral Pulled the I’m a physician card to invalidate my position. Doctors like her hurt people, and are the reason the US has an opioid issue.

Young doctor with condescending attitude and manner. Besides talking down to patients, she tries to cut corners and her inexperience is dangerous. She’s in a rush for no reason and makes excuses. She gave me a cup to pee in and didn’t bother to have my even name put on it. She was so hurried she told me to leave it in another room! I’m not leaving my urine somewhere without a label so it can get mixed up! Any health professional knows better than this, shame on this doctor.
