don’t think just book the appointment. sara saves lives !!!! trigger point needling has been a game changer for basically everything

I have been working with Sara for almost 2 years and i have never felt better. Her communication and experience is top notch and I am so happy to have this practice in my life!

I've been working with Sara Mizner for the last couple of years. I started going to help rejeuvenate myself after one knee replacement and prepare for the second. We've also worked on blood flow, stress, stomach/healthy gut issues. I cannot recommend Sara enough. I've been to four different acupuncturists over the years, all with good results, but I like the calmess of the office from the moment I walk in. I appreciate how carefully Sara listens and responds to my questions. And she never makes me feel bad about myself. I think it's easy to do when you're delaing with someone who has lots of things happening with their bodies that they don't always understand or know how to explain. She uses herbs from another source (the other acupunturists I've seen create their own blends) which doesn't bother me, and the blends have been spot on for what I need at the time.

I can say sincerely that Hilary and Sara have restored my faith in medicine. Trigger point needling with these two practitioners has relieved major maladaptive muscle tension that developed and hardened over many years in my neck, back, and hips. Sara and Hilary are adept at dealing with athletes, chronic pain, and general stress-related wear and tear. As if that wasn't enough, they're exceptional people to boot.

It was a pleasure working with Hilary. She's very knowledgable, genuine and a great listener. I always looked forward to my acupuncture sessions that ended with gua sha and cupping. It left me feeling v relaxed and rejuvenated after. The office is nice and cozy and shares a waiting room with other businesses in the building. There are two rooms for Heaven & Earth. Also, street parking is available. After the initial comprehensive visit, we usually dive in to how things are going since the last session and what I want to focus on. Since moving, I've missed these sessions with Hilary but grateful I found her!

I cannot recommend Heaven and Earth highly enough! Hilary is incredible and I've recommended her to several friends. After years being super active (yoga, running, biking) I injured my back. I went to Physical Therapy but saw little improvement 6 months after doing all the exercises prescribed. I had always been a little wary of acupuncture, but since I was desperate I decided to branch out. I'm so lucky that when I decided to try it for the first time I met Hilary! She totally set me at ease, explaining everything we could do to treat my back and making it clear we would only do what I was comfortable with. We talk before every session, and she always makes sure to get a thorough understanding of how I'm doing and what my body needs on that given day. Over a few months of sessions, I saw more improvement than I thought possible. I feel great and I'm running again! Hilary is a true healer, inside and out. I have never felt more heard or understood by a medical practitioner in my life. If you're looking for acupuncture look no further!

I did not have a good an experience with Sara from Heaven and Earth. Our appointment began 15 minutes late. Early in the appointment she made a point of saying that she was a white body, I was a black body, and there was a power dynamic. The implication being that we didn't need to have that. It made me uncomfortable because it felt performative and unconcerned with how saying that might land for me. I didn't come here to talk about racism with a stranger. After the appointment I emailed her to say that it made me uncomfortable and to also ask questions about herbs she sent me home with (we were so rushed when she gave me herbs that she told me to google how to use one of them.) Long story short after two weeks, a few emails, and what felt like increasingly passive aggressive behavior, I spent $100 on herbs I won't use and I'm moving on from this practice feeling demoralized, disrespected, and exhausted. Ultimately as a Black Woman this isn't an environment that I can do healing work in. I won't be back and it felt important to me to share why.

Sara has been so incredible for me, helping through a very tough time, while I was really struggling and having to get a hysterectomy, during which time I also quit smoking/drinking. I am not sure I would have made it through surgery and into a fast recovery without her! She does so much to ensure that the treatment is right for the person, and includes herbs and tinctures to match your needs. Also, the fact that they worked with me on a sliding scale was so appreciated since I was unable to work for several months. I feel super comfortable with Sara and getting needles in the space…& after 9 weeks, still smoke-free! I look forward to many treatments in future!
