Absolutely the worst. Rude, doesn't listen, yells, arrogant. Impatient and no respect for patients in general and patients of color. I dont say that lightly. Summit should get rid of him.
Dr. Hirshberg is undoubtedly the worst doctor I have ever met. I went to the emergency room at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Berkeley to be treated for muscle and nerve pain, and he instead wanted to treat me for skin rashes. I had clearly stated in the entry form that I wanted to be seen for nerve and muscle pain, but it seems he didn't even read it. When I tried explaining him why I was at the emergency room, he was not interested in listening to me. Is that how you treat a patient? He was treating me as if he is doing a favor for me by looking at my case for skin rashes. Seeing his attitude, I wanted to leave immediately, but he didn't even let me go.I wish I could give him zero stars.
An awful doctor. Has no manners, has no empathy, is disrespectful, has no patience, carries an attitude as if he is doing a favor to the patient by looking at their case. I’m surprised that such a doctor works for the emergency room. He behavior increases your agony.
What a horrible doctor. I went in to be treated for a nerve issue and he wanted to treat me for skin rashes. When I told him I was visiting for nerve and muscular pain, he treated me badly. Has Absolutely no manners to treat patients.
extremely terrible at bedside, no manner with patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
