I've been Daniel's patient for over 4 years. I started to see him in the Mission. When The Lotus Center shuttered, it was important to me to continue to see Daniel in Berkeley despite the fact that I live in Alamo Square. I make the drive 2x a month because I've seen the positive benefits of acupuncture and Daniel's care. I first went to Daniel to help with a persistent pinched nerve that was causing numbing in my leg. After helping to alleviate the nagging numbing, Daniel has since helped me with balancing my hormones when going through egg freezing and later to mitigate painful cramps. I also find that his treatments help with tight muscles, neck pain and stress reduction among other things. Beyond providing excellent care, Daniel is a thoughtful and caring healer. He has a gentle way about him that immediately makes you feel comfortable. And, he's an attentive listener who genuinely cares about all facets of your life to help promote your wellbeing. Getting stuck in bay bridge traffic at times to see him is well worth the effort!

Daniel Paige is a superb acupuncturist. He listens carefully, takes note of everything you say about yourself and your disease. I came to see him to reduce the anxiety and pain from strong chemotherapy treatments. i consider his care to have been crucial to the remission of my aggressive stage 3 cancer. He is a caring, knowledgeable, and insightful healer--all crucial to the excellent care he provides. I recommend him enthusiastically!

Amy helped me through my first (successful) pregnancy and her lovely, supportive energy were a balm to my soul and body. I wish I still lived in CA just so I could go to her :)

Daniel is an absolutely amazing practitioner of traditional chinese medicine, including acupuncture. He was amazingly in tune with my daughter's needs, fears, and personality quirks, willing to work with them and find personalized ways of making the treatments work for her in terms of her personality. I've seldom encountered a medical practitioner, in any field, with his compassion, connectedness with kids, respect, good humor, skill. After 6 years of spinning our wheels with a digestive condition that Western doctors were unable to effectively diagnose and treat, the treatments he has offered are the first thing that has truly made a more lasting difference. I also appreciated his willingness to think with us about how to work within both Eastern and Western medicine simultaneously, as my child needs and benefits from both. We drive quite a distance to see him, but it is utterly worth it.

Daniel is the most wonderful acupuncturist. When my son was born, he was misdiagnosed with a blood infection, and they pumped him with unnecessary antibiotics. Daniel spent the first year of his life treating him (not with needles, but with pressure points, herbs, and health advice), and now he is an extremely healthy 14 month old who is in the top percentiles in height/weight/etc. Even our pediatrician marveled at how small he started and how big he is now. Daniel also helps us whenever my son is sick, and because of him, we have hardly ever had to pump him with tylenol or other western drugs. My husband also sees Daniel on a regular basis, and has been quite healthy (considering what little sleep we get as new parents)! He also used to get styes and chalazions quite frequently, and once he started seeing Daniel, he's gotten maybe one stye in two years. My husband loves Daniel's good sense of humor, understanding nature, and gentle approach. I highly recommend bringing your children or your own self to see Daniel - it makes a world of difference, especially in a society that is so quick to prescribe drugs or medicine when it may not be necessary.

This review is long overdue, and I'm glad to finally remember to do it! I've been seeing Daniel for a few years, having seen at least half a dozen other well respected acupuncturists before him. Each acupuncturist has their own style of work, and I appreciate most of them very much. But there's something about Daniel.... He is so present, thoughtful, and caring -- and somehow, his treatments have made the most difference of anyone's for dealing with the side effects of cancer treatments. Going to see him truly feels like a healing experience.
