Nancy Rakela, Omd, Lac's Online Review Report Card

I've received traditional acupuncture sessions for 50+ years from a variety of acupuncture providers in Bay Area, and at last and none too soon, I discovered this superb and experienced acupuncturist! Her office is comfortable, clean and professional, scheduling with a receptionist in the office. Nancy herself is older and wiser than other acupuncturists-she just knows where to put needles after understanding what you need/want in a brief q and a health conversation. She "gets it" and gets to work! My primary reason for this review of Nancy's practice is Nancy-non-judgmental, very caring and experienced, she listens, providing the best possible outcome of presented issues. Also, she doesn't try to sell you herbs, teas, treatments that so many less experienced try to include. Just the basics with compassion, simply and powerfully, reasonably priced.

Amazing!! Nancy is such a healer. She's treated my chronic back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, wrist pain....the list goes on and on! Cannot recommend her enough. She also accepts landmark so if you have that as a benefit from work, use it!

Overdue review...I struggled with infertility for almost 5 years...did many fertility treatments and nothing worked. After 2 treatments with Nancy I got pregnant.... This is overdue, but I went to Dr.Rakela several years ago while ttc (prior pandemic). She was very knowledgeable and thorough with her assessment. I appreciated that she told me what she was doing and looking for during our sessions. I did about 4 months or so with her, initially doing twice a week and then once things looked better, once weekly sessions. She had anticipated somewhere 4 months and right on schedule we had baby dust. She knew right away when she checked my pulse, without me evening announcing it! This was after 1-2 years of trying, and the fertility specialist docs pushing for IVF. We had planned on IVF at the 4 month mark but did not have to thanks to Dr. Rakela's amazing acupuncture skills! We ended up coming back when trying for number 2 and we had good news right away. Her office is very calming and peaceful. I literally had the BEST NAP EVER with her acupuncture sessions. It's probably the only good sleep I had in years. The level of background music is just about right and the place is very tidy . She did acupuncture points to help me relax and destress, and I've been wanting to come back just for that :)

I love going to see Nancy at her beautiful office. The aesthetics of the office are very tasteful and her acupuncture treatment leaves me feeling very peaceful and refreshed. Her treatment has helped me with reducing my pain which is mostly inflammatory and also due to spinal issues.

Upon walking into the office you're transported into a healing environment. The acupuncturist have years of experience and special touch to heal through their practice.

Nancy has been a huge support in my pain management related to endometriosis. It has been a long journey and I'm not sure what I would do without her. I am so thankful my primary care doctor referred me to her. As an extra bonus her office is so comfortable and peaceful, her office staff is so helpful and welcoming, and I can always trust they are detailed and follow thru with all of the insurance details.

Nancy and her staff are AWESOME! I was terrified of accupunture before, I am no longer. Nancy put the Z in Zen. Shes patient and very knowledgeable . I highly recommend giving accupucture a try.
