To practice medicine is to understand that the oath you take is a contract you make to dedicate your education and applied knowledge and the ever on going education as is required to determine examine diagnose treat and manage or cure.. This art of medicine , or the practice and application of well being, is also important when approaching your patients with the understanding that peoples emotional state is elevated when they are compromised, and ignored. Dr Mirviss, whom I never met, has inherited a sloppy practice, from a another physician, I asked to meet fir 3 ulyears, Dr Fiscella, and wasnt allowed to, and she has passed the baton of Berkeley sloppy medical practitioner and advocate for number 1, she should be a great fit!You do not practice medicine when you dont use science to defer to another perspective! You have no right to deny someone care who has had a rotten experience with a few staff members! You are an arrogant despicable corrosive self serving one sided embarrassment to the medical community! Take your letter and shove it! Stay tuned!
Dr. Mirviss is one of the best medical providers I've had the opportunity to know. She was my primary care physician for over 20 years before she moved her practice to the East Bay. She is thorough and respectful and knows her stuff.
Dr. Mirviss has been our family physician for over 10 years. She is exceptional in both her diagnostic skills and demeanor. She possesses a rare combination of humanity, kindness and brilliance. We are lucky to have found her.
Dr. Sophia Mirviss is the best doctor I have ever had. Amazing woman with a true care for her patients.
Dr Mirviss has been my PC MD for several decades. No doubt this is why I am a healthy senior. She is an excellent diagnostician who has welltuned listening skills. She brings the ideal of patientMD partnership to life. One thing I have learned is to give any and all MDs a fax or an email a few days before my appointment stating my symptoms and/or questions. No MD is an encyclopedia. Advance notice of future questions allows the MD time to check out current medical info to relay to the patient.
Dr Sophia Mirviss figured out what I had within 5 minutes of my visit whereas I was seeing another dr who referred me to see an oncologist for my symptoms. This was after 2 months of twice a week visits with other unnecessary specialists they referred me to. News flash, it wasnt cancer and Im forever grateful for Dr Mirviss for diagnosing me correctly. She also referred me to the right specialist and Im now on the path to recovery. Her medical assistant, Melissa, is also an amazing person. Shes very sweet and caring. So if you have an ailment and you need the right diagnosis and care, go to them right now.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
