List of Wendy Buffett's Reviews
Dr. Buffet has been exemplary. I feel so fortunate to have her as my primary physician. I have been seeing her for over 10 years. I feel supported, listened to and I consistently have had all my needs addressed. All of this coupled with a very responsible office staff that promptly returns calls and emails I feel very fortunate to have this practice and staff as my go to place for my medical needs.;)
I went to Wendy Buffett thinking she would be a holistic doctor, getting to know me and what my medical and health needs would be so that we could be a team to keep me healthy. Her profile says she wants to look at the whole person and to work with them around their healthcare. However, this never happened for me. It was always a long wait to get an appointment with her so I had to see the nurse practitioner a few times. When I did see her, she ordered lots of regular blood tests for me and only once commented to me that something was wrong and how to remedy it easily, which I did. However, now Ive left her practice and my new doctor has told me that my lab work over the past 5 years has indicated that my kidneys are not functioning well! How can that be I had a doctor who was supposed to be monitoring my lab results? But she apparently wasnt. Ive been on high blood pressure meds for several years and Buffett apparently did not take that into consideration whenever she made health recommendations to me. She seemed to resent it when I asked direct questions about symptoms I was having that were new or unusual to me. She told me that I was getting older and things dont work as well after a certain age or its normal dont worry about it. The last time I saw her she said my symptoms could be from dehydration. So I asked her how that could be when Im drinking water all day long. She shrugged her shoulders and left the room, she didnt even tell me what I should do about it, she just left and went to her office. The nurse seemed quite surprised at the way she left. Something is wrong with the way she treats people, she just doesnt listen very well and definitely doesnt communicate well about medical issues. Was she so offended that I questioned her that she decided to withhold vital health care from me? I dont know. I found another doctor and Ive already started feeling better after just a few days of being in the care of someone who listened to me describe my symptoms, she looked at and understood the lab results, and knows what to do for my health. The new doctor switched my blood pressure meds immediately and is monitoring my kidneys to make sure the switch is all that is needed to get my kidneys working properly again. Wendy Buffett goes through the motions of being a good doctor, but just doesnt have any follow through. She just doesnt make the grade for people like me, people in general good health with controllable conditions and on meds so in need of careful attention and monitoring of lab work to make sure everything is functioning as it should.
Very nice and she treated me with respect and honesty.
Waited one month for an appt to see Wendy Buffet and it was worth the wait. Wendy Buffet is professional, knowledgeable and takes her time with you, she even gave me print out packets of information Love her she is #1
I was suffering from migrating arthritis, unable to digest food, and heart tremors.Dr. Buffett told me to cut out coffee, and told me I was getting older. I was 42 at the time. She talked to me in that tone that suggested I was a hysterical female. She basically patted my head and told me to rest. After months of pain, I finally dragged myself to a Functional Medicine doctor who IMMEDIATELY ordered a blood panel. The blood panel revealed an extraordinarily high eosinophil count...alerting us to the fact that I was suffering from parasites, among other things. After we treated the parasites, I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease, which I have been treating for the past few years.I would not recommend Dr. Wendy Buffett if you want to be taken seriously, and if you have anything wrong with you except drinking too much coffee. I felt invalidated, swept aside, and ultimately angry at the way she treated me.
I dont get the negative reviews. When my doctor of 20 years retired, I had to shop for a new PCP. I went to two who were ready to prescribe pills to me after 10 minutes. Dr. Buffett was NOT that way at all. Shes a good listener and not quick with prescribing meds.
Dr. Buffet has been my PCP for roughly three years now and she is by far the best doctor Ive had thus far. She is very kind and attentive and addresses my concerns in a thorough and professional manner. I never feel rushed during her visits because I know she truly cares about my wellbeing and is willing to provide me with the best advice. I would highly recommend Dr. Buffet to anyone who is seeking a highly capable, friendly, and attentive doctor.
Wendy Buffett is quite possibly the best doctor I have ever seen. She is intelligent, compassionate, patient, highly informed and skilled, and treats me like a partner in my own health care, rather than assuming an authoritarian posture, which one often encounters. I love that she respects my choices while presenting me with reasoned alternatives. I love that she is open to nontraditonal methods of addressing health issues. I have found her to be generous with her time, good humored, and very perceptive. All this and she returns emails in a timely manner! If you can find a better doctor, go to him or her, but I dont think it will be easy.
I have never yelped for a doctor before but after reading the negative reviews wanted to speak up. I have seen Wendy twice now and both times she took her time with me and the very first time I saw her, she caught a trend no one had ever caught before. I have been warned about high blood pressure for years now with the normal suggestions of cut out salt (which I love) and caffeine and exercise more. When looking at my charts, Wendy noticed that my high blood pressure readings always seemed to be the same time of the month and could possibly be a side effect of my birth control. Here I am, two years later and birth control free, and no high blood pressure. This sort of insight alone makes her worth another visit in my books.
And Dr. Buffet strikes again. My previous review was deleted because I assume she complained. Well, heres another kicker for you. I have since changed PCPs but HAD to be scheduled with her because he was out. I get here and the clerical staff tells me she cant see me because my issue is one my doctor needs to review; either that or she needs to examine me. Ok, Ill take the exam because I have already taken off of work for this appt. I get in the exam room and she tells me she lost my paperwork. OK, so how long has this appt. been on the books and you wait until I come in, check in and sit down to tell me you cant see me and now youve lost my paperwork? Fine, I have the paperwork faxed over so that she can complete it. I was so frustrated with this woman! This happens every time Im forced by the office to see her. If it hadnt been for my contacts in health care, I probably wouldnt have been seen at all. SmhUpdate: The FMLA paperwork that I went in to have completed for my recurring back problem was never sent in, therefore putting me at risk for losing my job. Yes, thanks Dr. Buffet for all of your hard work. You managed to collect funds from my HMO and my co pay and leave me at risk for losing my job for uncovered absences. You are AWESOME! (sarcasm intended!)**Avoid this doctor**

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
