I met with Dr. Alexander D. Ghasem, M.D. at Concentra’s San Vicente clinic for two appointments as a third medical opinion. He was professional, compassionate, and very thorough. At our first visit, he explained that he needed updated imaging before making any recommendations and ordered a new MRI. At the second visit, after reviewing the results, he confirmed what two other specialists had already stated and recommended anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) to relieve my chronic pain. I’ve been suffering from excruciating pain for over three years due to a neck injury during work, and despite multiple medical opinions, my surgery still hasn’t been approved by insurance. The process has been exhausting, but Dr. Ghasem stood out by truly prioritizing patient well-being. I’m grateful for his clear communication, professionalism, and support, and I sincerely hope my surgery is approved soon so I can finally begin to recover.

Dr. Alexander Ghasem knows his art! He made sure I understood the procedure by explaining every detail. I learned so much about my spine and he asured me quick and full recovery. He gave me a successful disc replacement and a renewed sense of well-being. I highly recommend Dr. Alexander for your disc replacement surgery. Dr Ghasem was incredible from start to finish he was very thorough on explaining what the surgery would consist of and answered every question. This was my first surgery I was very nervous but he just made everything so effortlessly easy that I felt great and the outcome was better then I could ever expect. Definitely would recommend people who are looking for a great surgeon to go to him.

Where do I even begin? Dr. Alexander Ghasem and his team have truly changed my life. From the very first appointment, they provided me with the guidance and support I needed to embark on a journey towards a better life. They explained everything thoroughly, addressed all of my questions and concerns, and made me feel truly cared for. In my past experiences with doctors, scheduling has always been a nightmare. I would make an appointment, only to end up waiting in the room for 30 minutes before being seen. This was not the case with Dr. Ghasem and his team at LA Spine Surgeons. Abby, in particular, was exceptional with scheduling. She made sure I was always informed, reminded me of my appointments, and went above and beyond to accommodate me in any way she could. Dr. Ghasem himself is a rare gem in the medical field. He always made time for me, never made me feel rushed, and patiently answered all of my questions. I have spoken to others who have had similar surgeries, and it always seemed like I was ahead in terms of recovery and pain management. Dr. Ghasem truly is a magician with his hands. I have the utmost respect for Dr. Ghasem and Abby. Words cannot express my gratitude towards them. I would not hesitate to recommend them or have surgery with them again.
