This doctor is very caring and is compassionate about the care he gives his patients, I have had 3 Mohs surgeries with Dr Breithaupt and all have healed awesomely. I continue to have screenings with him every 6 months.

I've had two MOH's surgeries done by Dr. Breithaupt and was extremely pleased by the results. Obviously curing the cancer is of utmost important, but the cosmetic results come a close second. And Dr. Breithaupt was exceptional in his work. Explained what had to be done during the procedure and answered my questions. While I hope not to have the need for future surgeries I do know, that if necessary, Dr. Breithaupt will be my doctor of choice.

Dr. Breithaupt is MY blessing and here is why... I had a weird white lump on my upper lip that kept growing, and turned in to a lesion.. I kept thinking, hoping it would go away with the thousands of different creams and medicines I tried.. finally after way too long, fault of my own, plus shedding of a little fear, I found Island Dermatology who biopsied the lesion and confirmed what I thought might be Basal Cell Carcinoma.. I needed MOHS Surgery.. I truly believe I was connected with the best MOHS Surgeon in the business!! The Basal Cell had grown so big, it hurt and would bleed often and I thought I would be terribly scarred and lose half of my lip, and never want to look in the mirror again, but I knew I wanted the cancer off of my face and scheduled the surgery. I'm not gonna lie, the surgery certainly was not fun, but Dr. B made it manageable with his knowledge, great bed side manner and awesome staff. (Shout out to Nikki and Louis) It has been 4 weeks since the surgery and my results are phenomenal!! During that time Dr. Breithaupt called me and checked on me often.. I was impressed! Today, I had a follow up appointment and he shared my photos before stitches and I am still in complete shock! (Nearly 50 stitches by the way) I still cannot believe the incredible job he did and am so very thankful to him. The before and afters are amazing. I have a ways to go still, the face takes time to heal, but I truly feel so blessed that he was the doctor I chose to take care of this. I'm happy to share more information and my photos if anyone is going through this and just not sure what to do.. My first advice to anyone with this, would be go see Dr. Breithaupt in Newport Beach, He is simply the BEST!!

Dr. Breithaupt recently performed a Mohs surgery on my scalp for a small bit of skin cancer. He was able to skillfully remove the cancer, leaving me with little pain and almost no other discomfort after the first 24 hours. The site appears to be healing very well, and should be hardly noticeable due to his work hiding the cut in my hair. I'm also not going to have a bald spot! Beyond his skill, Dr. Breithaupt has fantastic bedside manner. He may have been the first doctor to not chastise me for looking up the procedure beforehand! Curious minds, as they say. During the procedure, he was exceptionally responsive to any pain or discomfort I experienced, and made sure to do his best to minimize both. We also had a great conversation about football, so he keeps up on his sports news! The best thing, though, was the phone call I received the day after my procedure from Dr. Breithaupt himself. He wanted to make sure I was doing okay, and it really went a long way.10/10, hope to never need again!

Dr Breithaupt was quite professional, skillful and personable. He patiently answered all my questions and I left knowing my situation was well taken care of.

Dr. Breithaupt - "A doctor's doctor!" Dr. Breithaupt has performed several Mohs surgeries on me. He's an extremely skilled physician who has great "bedside manner." He listens to my concerns and then advises me respecting his recommendations for treatment. Many doctors could learn valuable lessons from this doctor about the "care and feeding" of patientsI like that we discuss my concerns and he answers my questions in language I can understand vs. "doctor speak." He has a great sense of humor and I feel as if I'm a member of his (extended) family. For those of us who feel that "we are strangers in a strange land" when it comes to medicine, I wish there were more doctors like this one. I feel that he is glad to see me and appreciates that I've chosen and trust him. If Dr. Breithaupt ever retires, I feel as if I'll have to "retire" my skin. All my life I've surrounded myself with smart people. For me, Dr. Breitrhaupt is "one of the best and the brightest."

This doctor is amazing! I had skin cancer on my forehead head and Dr. Andrew did Mohs surgery on it and I was left with an open hole about the size of a Silverdollar, we waited for it to heal and in time it shrank up to the size of a nickel but had a shiny bubble appearance which I was very unhappy with. Dr. Andrew revisited the scar and virtually cut across my forehead 3 inches removing about an inch top to bottom to be sure the scar was removed and within 10 days it has healed to appear as if the Mohs surgery was never done. I love this doctor he is so caring, forthcoming with all the information about the surgery and what to expect after, I feel very fortunate that Dr Breithaupt works in this dermatology group that I have been going to for so many years. I fully recommend him to anyone that is facing surgery for skin cancer and he also does follow-ups rather it is surgery related or not. Thank you Dr Andrew for giving me a beautiful appearance

I held off giving this review till after my mohs surgery because the surgery site was rather large and I wanted to see what it healed like. I got my stiches out this past Friday. Dr. Breithaupt is the man !! It took 4 passes to get me clear, I saw the whole, freaked me out it looked so big. Now mind you there was some cutting and stretching of skin to stitch me up, which he told me about. When the nurse took the stiches out and I cleaned it up when I got home, it looked incredible, it's fresh so still red and all but there is hardly anything there, I would highly recommend Dr. Breithaupt in a second ! I actually did to a friend yesterday. Thanks again....
