I have been a patient of Dr. Prokupek for over 15 years. He has always been responsive , receptive and professional. Whether you need a primary care physician or treatment for a more complex intestinal issue, I would highly recommend Dr. Prokupek’s care. He has a sterling reputation within the Medical field.

Dr. Prokupek had been treating me for my depression, mental health and ADHD since 2004. His NP changed my dosage on my meds on my last visit and then when his chief nurse gave away my other meds for a different treatment that was waiting for me while he was gone, I complained about the nurse’s actions. Because she runs the office now, rather than him check with me first and talk to me, ensure that my behavior may not be related to this change in dosage, he flippantly fires off a letter saying he's ending my care after *18yrs*. Who changes a Zoloft dosage then fires the patient for a staff complaint not considering that factor first? It is beyond irresponsible. More so, I feel like my trust has been broken in such a way that I had to leave this review, everywhere. Decide on your own to see him or not. But this is what happened to me and I'm devastated and looking for a new doctor after 18 years. I feel betrayed. Success has changed this man. Ten years ago, this never would’ve happened.

Dr DP, is horrible and he should've called you when they changed your doses.

Dr. Prokupek was my doctor for 18yrs and was a fantastic doctor in the GI field. Then when he went into cosmetic surgery and made the Hollywood reporter, he became impossible to see and hired a new staff that became impossible to deal with. When he went on vacation this past month, the chief nurse screwed up my meds and I complained, he backed her and cut me off as a patient because she runs the office so well, he can work less. This is literally a case of a doctor going Hollywood. I'm sure they'll try to say I was the problem. But ask yourself, if I was the problem, why did he treat me for 18yrs? Use your own intuition on whose telling the truth. A fantastic doctor, when he cares, and before he went "Hollywood". But you cannot feel secure with him truly having a patients back anymore. Not like he used to be. He's too big now to get the level of quality care that you're paying for. When he invariably responds; please keep in mind, that Dr. Prokupek has been treating me for my depression and mental health. Again, can you blame the patient for the behavior when the doctor in question is prescribing the mental health treatment? Not talking to me first before "firing" me as a patient - I feel is irresponsible health care. More so, I feel like my trust has been broken in such a way that I had to leave this review. Dr. Prokupek has been my doctor for many years now and I have been through a lot of doctors and since meeting Dr. Prokupekmy health has been 100% better.At my lowest when I was going through chemo and radiation therapy he was there every step of the way. I find the office disorganized and unprofessional. I have waited 3 weeks to get a CT scan and then finally get the results sent to Dr. Prokupek and no one is available to get me the results. I was lied to by Emma, I was told the medical assistant would call me back with in 10 min but I never received that call as promised. they now force all my calls to voicemail they will not except my calls as I have asked them to contact the doctor and they refuse . Dr. Prokupek had the results yesterday afternoon and knew he would be out of the office today and chose not to give me those results and just left for the day. What a disgrace they are leaving their patient in pain and untreated. in my opinion I would not recommend this office to anyone the more interested in doing the cosmetics end of the practice then they are the Gastro end. Btw I've been a patient for close to 5 or 6 years.

Went to visit this doctor to ask if I had gluten allergy. Where he never told me it will cost out of my pocket $1900.00. This is very bad service with no clear information to patients

Dr Prokupek was amazing and caring. He took his time and answered all our questions and he was extremely knowledgeable. I didn't feel rushed out like other Doctors tend to do to their patients. We did our annual check up with him. We also had a few questions about anti aging and NAD therapy which he answered for us. I recommend him to anyone who is looking for a good Dr to come and see him. He was busy so you have to make your appointment and be patient.

Dr. Prokupek is an unusual doctor. Besides having a brilliant mind he is a kind, caring, approachable, amazing doctor who is generous with his time, listens, cares and I am so grateful he is our doctor. He is so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He really cares about helping you and is a good diagnostician. His office is very comfortable because the front office and back office people are only an added benefit to seeing Dr. P. They are terrific. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend all my family and friends to this unusual doctor. No attitude, down to earth and smart. Thank you Dr. Prokupek for being the wonderful wonderful doctor that you are.
