David Socol's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Socol has been life changing! I'd spent years in the military and VA system complaining that my chemicals and hormones had been messed up in the explosion in Iraq, but no one would listen. I had my initial exam with him the same week as my VA annual exam. I'm at a great VA, but they just don't address things like I was complaining about from my TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). The VA declared me good for another year. Dr. Socol declared me very not good and he was certainly right. It turns out I was correct and a number of my hormones were messed up. Pill for pill, he has me on more stuff than the VA, but he has me on vitamins and hormones that are supposed to be in my body, so I feel better about it. After about 6 months I was off all my anti-depressants, anti-anxieties, and anti-psychotics from the VA. Turns out the problem wasn't me, but was my chemicals and once Dr. Socol got those straight, I'm feeling tons better than even on all the meds that were helping me and I'm not on those now. :-) Dr. Socol listens and genuinely cares about his patients and his wife is such a blessing to work with! They have both helped change my life for the better and when I once thought I'd be living on disability forever, I'm now about to start a double master's program, thanks to him! I'm so grateful I found him! <3

Dr. Socol is amazing! He's friendly, helpful, keeps up with current information, listens and cares about his patients, and is generally a fantastic doctor! When I first started seeing him, I couldn't find anyone to take my concerns about chemical and hormone changes (from the explosion in Iraq) seriously. He not only listened, but agreed. He did tons of blood work and it turns out we were right. He now has me on hormones and vitamins to help not only replace things my body can't make for itself, but also to help heal my brain. I'm feeling so much better now and am off the medications I was on before because they weren't solving the problem, just covering it. It's amazing how great you can feel when your body chemistry is balanced. Both Dr. Socol and his wife are amazing to work with and have changed my life. I don't know where I'd be if I hadn't found them and I can't recommend them highly enough. They are absolutely 100% amazing! <3

Dr. Socol is amazing! In fact, he's so amazing, I live in North Carolina and he's in California, but he's 100% worth it! I only have to physically see him once a year, but he's able to get blood work done and he calls me regularly, as much as weekly when necessary. I don't feel like my care has been hindered by the distance and I've definitely improved since I started seeing him! I'd been complaining ...

Dr. David Socol has been life-changing! I'm at a great VA, but this just isn't something the VA addresses with TBIs (Traumatic Brain Injuries). Once I found Dr. Socol, who not only listened, but agreed that my chemistry was all messed up, I started feeling much better. Not only is there simply the emotional comfort when someone pays attention and takes your concerns seriously, but he did the most comprehensive blood work I've ever had and addressed lots of issues I didn't even know I existed. One of the great things about Dr. Socol is he doesn't just look at the numbers, but also looks at the patient's symptoms. If low normal isn't working for you, he'll bump you up to mid normal or even high normal, whereas most doctors are satisfied with low normal, regardless of your symptoms. Low normal numbers aren't optimal for every patient and he understands this.When I first came to see Dr. Socol, I was a mess--not able to sit still, suicidal quite regularly, unable to deal with changes, and so much more, all from the blast. Thanks to him, I'm feeling better than ever and just a year later, I'm entering a double master's program and headed towards getting a job again. YAY! I couldn't have done all this without him! He's the best--not only super smart, but also just generally great to work with!
