I just came out of Providence St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica where I was supervised by Dr. James Burrows. I have nothing but excellent comments abut this doctor; in fact, I wonder as to the appreciation of patients of his who did not see his true self! I have been an educator for 50 years; 40 of them at Santa Monica College; and I have yet to know a doctor with the excellent bedside manners; outstanding competence in his job, a top professional whose demeanor makes him to me second to none!

I was originally referred to Dr. Kuhn, but he was booked for over a month so I agreed to see Dr. Burrows instead. He seemed OK in the first appointment, but his behavior in the second appointment actually made me uncomfortable; he was very unprofessional. When I asked to see Dr. Kuhn instead, the scheduler told me that their office doesn't allow switching between docs and that it would require a review. I then realized that others must have requested a switch and they are covering for this doc.

This doctor is the most uncaring, arrogant & callous physician I have ever encountered. Always rude & dismissive of my concerns. Seemed truly disinterested.

I had an appointment, I arrived 5 minutes early, I was put in an office after 15 minutes where I was left for an additional 45 minutes. I asked "how much longer?" I was told the doctor was NOT in the office and they would check to see when he would be in. I followed up again after a further 15 minutes and was told it could be an additional 15 to 30 minutes or more. I left, no apology or follow up. I took an afternoon off work for this. Poor poor poor!!!!
