List of Joan Osder's Reviews
Dr. Osder is wonderful. I have been going to her for more than 10 years and have found her to be very responsive to all my questions and concerns. She does a thorough body scan once a year and is always available to check something I see on my skin that is concerning to me.
This office and doctor are fantastic, but they are morons with their phone system - they have NO mailbox for you to request a call back for an appointment.Dumbest marketing failure ever.I guess I'll call elsewhere, where they'll call me back.
Dr. Osder is an outstanding dermatologist, trained and board certified in Internal Medicine as well as dermatology. She is thorough and thoughtful, and has excellent communication. I highly recommend her!
I only usually write great reviews BUT from hyperpigmentation (which I’m still dealing with)on my face in several spots to repeated inadequate treatments to reduce a couple scars … my results with this woman are very poor. Her assistant asked her to waive an office visit to discuss my results and she said no…this is NOT the care you expect in bev hills.
I've been going to Dr Osder for well over 20 years. She has seen me through every stage of my adult life, from cystic acne to menopausal changes, caring for me with the ideal balance of quality healthcare and cosmetic advice. She could not be nicer or more professional. Her style is to help maintain natural beauty, keeping a light touch with Botox and fillers. She keeps me both healthy and pretty for my age. Every friend I've referred swears by her, we are all raving fans.
I went to see Dr. Osder for a recurring skin infection. She didn't ask about my overall health, did not ask if I had a recent body scan, did not spend more than 3 minutes in the office. I messaged her through the portal two weeks later to ask if I should try another antibiotic and was CHARGED $150 for a telemedicine appointment. I called the office and was told to contact billing who then told me to contact the office. I sent multiple emails and follow ups through the portal and was dismissed. This office is a money scam and the doctors do not care. I went to see Dr. Charlotte Carlson the following months and the experience was night and day. She took the time to listen, asked if I needed a body scan, followed up with me the next week (and did not charge for it). I have never in my life experienced a doctor who charges for a questions through the portal. Once you leave Dr. Osder's office she is done with you and so if her office.

I have known this woman for 30 years. She is warm, compassionate and extremely competent! I literally trust her blindly and wish that I could clone her for all of the medical specialties! Simply off the charts awesome!
Dr. Osder literally saved my life. I've been seeing her for over 20 years as I'm the fair, freckled type and thus at risk for skin cancer. She is very thorough each time she has done a body check and very easy to talk to. In the last 18 months she caught 2 melanomas and a basal cell carcinoma but she found each of these at such an early stage that they have all now been successfully removed and very unlikely to spread. The oncology surgeon she referred me for the melanoma excisions also validated that she is an excellent dermatologist. I am frankly shocked at some of the negative reviews posted here - my experience with her has been nothing but positive.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
