List of Keck Medicine Of Usc- Usc Institute Of Urology's Reviews
Like some other reviews have mentioned, I got hit by Keck's questionably shady 'Surgerical' claim bill for an in-office procedure after seeing Dr. Block for a simple procedure. After this claim to my insurance, my portion of it is $300. For anyone considering seeing a Keck doctor in the Wilshire office, beware that the doctors here are independent contractors who work in a 'clinic'. This allows Keck to bill you for a clinic visit and/or surgery claim for a procedure. It really is a facility surcharge that will be billed at thousands to your insurance. This charge was not verbally told to me and the signage in the office was placed amongst several notices and buried in confusing body copy. For any visit here, ask what the clinic charge will be for service. They will not tell you.
A warning to all patients going to use a Keck physician. Any in office procedure will incur an additional and expensive claim to your insurance for that procedure. This excludes the services done by the position. You are literally being billed by the organization to use their facilities and they'll bill it as a surgical center or activity. This information was not explicitly told to me at the time of the visit, nor was it explicitly called out as a facilities or surgical center charge. As a result, my insurance was billed an outrageous amount for the injection and for having it done at the clinic/office /surgical center (3x the cost of the injection itself). Now I'm stuck with a huge bill because of an opaque billing structure and designation that is designed to add profit to the organization with the unsuspecting patients footing the bill.
I saw Dr. Rodriguez back in 2018. I suffer from pudendal neuralgia. It's rare. Most doctors have never heard of it. Very hard to get help. She gave me Botox under anesthesia. I believe it was covered by insurance. She didn't know of any pain management doctors who could help. I wish she had done some research. I ended up leaving LA because I could not work because of intense pain sitting.

Keck specialty center for diabetes has great physicians & staff. The patient experience is top notch. Megan C. The LVN truly cares and goes above and beyond to get the patients connected to the care they need. Thank you Megan for your communication and follow up. USC Keck & Dr. Peters are a great asset to the diabetes community. Thank you for your compassion and expertise!
DO NOT GO TO DR DINA BLOCK! Her office and billing will not bill your insurance and then send you a bill a year after your visit. When you ask for them to bill your insurance they will not call you back and then try to send you to collections. I tried calling Andrew, the clinic manager, Melanie Hunt, Dr. Block, Ann Sullivan and even USC Compliance! Super shady and fraudulent!
First-rate office from the executive secretaries to the nurses to the PA to Dr. Gamradt himself. Dr. Gamradt takes his time, is never rushed, answers all of our questions patiently, clearly and expertly. I write "our" because my wife, my daughter, and I all saw him and we were all highly satisfied with his and his office's professionalism, expertise, courtesy, and patient service. Dr. Gamradt is a phenomenal professional, whom we recommend in the highest terms.
Surprised to see positive reviews of Dr. Rodriguez. While she was quick to schedule an appointment with me, her attitude was enough to get me to write this review. I came to her for a surgery consultation. She was originally very pushy but simultaneously pessimistic. Her dismissal of my questions and issues was appalling. She pretty much said, "Not my problem, good luck." Incredibly disappointed in the way she handled my care, if you could even call it that.
A bit shocked by the reviews here but everyone's experience is different (also they saw different doctors). I have seen Dr. Gamradt on two different occasions for a knee issue and shoulder issue and both times the experience was great. I needed an x-ray on my shoulder which was done quickly in-house and he reviewed and diagnosed me promptly. I was seen promptly both visits and I never felt as if he was rushing me. Dr. Gamradt is extremely credentialed in orthopedic sports medicine and honestly I felt lucky to be seeing him as a person who is very active. The front desk employees were nice and professional every visit. Due to my insurance I had to get a referral from another Doc to avoid paying out of pocket for my MRI. The front desk was very accommodating with all info I needed for the next physician and went above and beyond to take care of me (special thanks out to Krystal and April!) Can't recommend these guys enough. Hope I don't have to see them again (lol) but if I do I feel very secure in the treatment I'll recieve.
This office and doctor treated us horribly! When my son was referred to Dr. Dina Block by a well-known endocrinologist in New York, we were looking forward to meeting her. We sent in all of his intake forms in advance to save time once we arrived at the office. My son is a student at USC, so had to rearrange his schedule to make it to the appointment and ended up being just 10 minutes late for his 2:40 pm appointment due to being a new patient and dealing with parking etc. He checked in and sat down at 2:50 pm, and I met him there at 2:55. After waiting another 5 minutes, an assistant came out and said that, because he was 20 minutes late, Dr. Block would have to cut his appointment short. We corrected her and said he was was only 10 minutes late, but were fine with cutting the appointment short. So, the assistant leaves and we wait another 5 minutes that could have been used to put him in a room and get the appointment started. Then another assistant comes out and re-states what the other assistant said about being 20 minutes late and that Dr. Block has some type of meeting and now cannot see my son because he was late. We left the office livid and in disbelief because no patient should be treated this way. It was very unkind and inconsiderate. There was no apology. No offer to try to reschedule. Let me clarify that the gentleman at reception was kind and kept stating that we did not arrive 20 minutes late. It was the two doctor's assistants who were rude and inconsiderate. Granted my son was a mere 10 minutes late, but how many times do doctors have patients waiting in their offices for up to an hour at times, and often without an apology? Usually, appointments are cancelled if a patient is 15 to 20 minutes late, but 10 minutes should have been fine, especially since we were understanding about her having to cut the appointment short and willing to do that. If you want to be treated horribly and disrespectfully, see this doctor, otherwise there are plenty of other endocrinologists who respect and appreciate patient referrals.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
