Lasky Skin Center's Online Review Report Card

The corporate overlords have struck again. I've been going several times a year to The Lasky Clinic for 25 years. I adored the recently-retired Dr. Mark Rubin, and was hesitant to let anyone else provide treatment. But, Dr. Rubin trained Deanna, she was with him for his last visits with me, and I now adore her equally. She does a fantastic job. Unfortunately, when Dr. Rubin left, a corporation took over and ruined the whole business. As of March, 2024, they have just given Deanna her notice, she was told to steer everyone towards Dr. Kwan (who charges a LOT more than Deanna), and they raised their prices for the third time in about a year. Sadly, I declined to have Deanna give me treatment, as the price was so enormously high - and Dr. Kwan charges even more! Seriously, the prices have become obscene, not even comparable to anywhere else I've seen. Yesterday, I said my good-byes to Deanna, Cindy and The Lasky Clinic, which I have loved for so many years. The corporation that owns it now is in Florida and they just want to bleed the clients dry. I know I'm not the only long-time loyal client who has left recently. I cannot now in good conscience recommend The Lasky Clinic. Too bad, it's quite sad. The new owners have ruined it.

I have been a client for many years at Lasky Kin Center. I recently had the pleasure of having DeAnna perform my injections, and I could not be more pleased with the results. Cindy, her assistant, is also amazing and very knowledgeable. She is kind and very patient when working with the customer. You can tell Cindy knows what she is doing and works well with the customer. I cannot say enough about my experience on this last visit, as this was the first time I had DeAnna as my provider. As a long time client of Dr Rubin, I was so sad when he retired. I decided to stay at Lasky and see Dr Kwan and I am so happy I did. He shares the same natural esthetic that Dr Rubin had. My face is refreshed and my Botox is perfect. Zero bruising and he is so professional and nice I am so happy with my results! Thank you Dr Kwan!

I had a terrific experience for my first time at LSC, and it won't be my last. They had me in and out in a little over an hour, and I was delighted with the results. Virtually painless. Mia, Cindy, and especially Valerie and Dr. Kwan were wonderful--I felt I was in good hands the whole time. All were warm and friendly.

Now that Mark Rubin, MD has sold the business, there is NO reason to ever go there. His injectables were unparalleled. Not so for the new crew. Either they are using expired or watered down products or they just lack the skills. Dr. Rubin always stood by his work. If it didn't hold or didn't take, he redid the work, gratis. The office manager assured me that the same policy stood. NOT. After 10-12 days, I needed a "touch-up," which I should not have been charged for let alone should not have needed. I was charged an exorbitant amount and the office mgr could not have been more rude and unpleasant about it. If you have $3k to cast to the wind, by all means give them a try. Personally, I'd rather give my money to charity.

If you want an alternative to those headaches, the best research completed by local doctors at UCLA, discovered Botox and it really does work! Yes, Botox is the best cure for those headaches! Dr. Nancy Samolitis, M.D. is by far one of the best Dermatologists, I have seen for these injections. Trust me, I have been residing in West Hollywood, CA for two and half years, and have been flying, yes flying up to San Francisco, CA to have this done with long-standing Dermatologist. Why? I was afraid my eyebrows would be arched up to my hair line! I did not want to look like some of these "Beverly Hills" "housewives" you see walking around. She is gentle, attentive, and makes sure you get the right amount of Botox to relieve those headaches, and my headache was gone within an hour! I did not bruise, she provided me with arnica and ice packs prior to the injections. I had taken some anti-inflammatory pills three days before, which typically can causing bruising. I walked out no bruises, no needle marks, and a big smile on my face! Besides, her being able to inject Botox, she is great with all skin issues that could arise. She keeps giving me sunscreen, as I love being outdoors; you know "vitamin" D levels! In a nutshell, she has an awesome patient/doctor demeanor and actually cares to ask questions, and her staffs of nurses are very pleasant and not to mention they pack a great sense of humor. The location is easy to locate they are located between Olympic and Wilshire in Beverly Hills. If you need to eliminate those awful migraines, or you just don't want those unwanted wrinkles on your forehead, go see her!
