List of Melanie Landay's Reviews
DEAR WOMEN OF COLOR!Dr. Landay was great until she gave me biopsy on cervix and I almost bled out. I kept bleeding and she didn't know how to stop it. She literally freaked out in front of me. Her face and her body language made me freak out, she was scared and didn't try to hide it. She finally had to call another doctor in the practice to help me. This doctor calmed me down with breathing techniques and stopped the bleeding. That's when I realized Dr. Landay might not be the best doctor, but she made me believe this was some how my fault and related to my health which made me really worried and concerned. have a bit of emotional and mental trauma because of this incident now (I don't trust doctors fully anymore) . I thought I was going to die. A few months after this I got pregnant and I had no other choice but to go back for my first check up and confirm my pregnancy until I figured things out, but this incident haunted me and I couldn't risk any additional incidents like this so I ended up switching gynecologists and NEVER went back. She also made me get several blood tests and gave me little to no Insight on why. She just kept saying I had to due her concern with my high white blood cells, but couldn't tell me why and recommended I did it several times. Each time I had to pay out of pocket $60 or so to a the lab she designated. This concerned me so much mainly because I seriously thought something was wrong with me. So of course I kept doing what she asked. Til this day I still don't know if she gained any real knowledge about my elevated white blood cells and never recommended me to see any other doctor or gave any necessary medical adive. It seemed like she just let it go without providing me with clear answers. I am single mom and a woman of color, I thought going to a doctor like Dr. Landay was going to give me the medical services I deserved and have rights to. I put a lot of my trust in in her because she is the expert/professional. It sad, but I am really disappointed in the overall medical system when it comes to our health. This is the perfect example why women of color deserve better attention and this should never happen to anyone. Things need to change!
Had a consult with her via teleconference .... She brushed me off when she found out I had another doctor as well. Didn't want to take my appt, keep in mind I waited one month for the appt with her and she said oops they scheduled a different type of consult so I don't have time for you today . Literally hung up on me and texted saying her internet went out. Complete BS!
Beware. This Dr. will squeeze every penny she can out of you and your insurance. Also, the office staff is rude and has no follow through when it comes to procedures and results.
Hi I just wanted to drop a quick review about Dr Landay. She is an incredible doctor and genuinely looks out for the wellbeing of her patients in every single way. If she is your doctor, then you are getting the best care because she is brilliant and doesn't miss a thing and also shows kindness and compassion while in her care. Dr Landay helped me achieve my dream of becoming a mother with excellent fertility advice/guidance and I am so grateful to have her as my doctor.
Went to her once, she was amazing. Great bedside manner, very gentle in her work, very very informative which I loved, I've gone to Ruslana Kadze and she literally rushed me out no conversation , nothing ... cash patients like me aided to but the gold Rolex she had on ... but seriously dr landay left me speechless.... she's the best !
I'm just updating because I've been reading negative reviews about age discrimination. Dr Landay is an expert in fertility, she wants to focus her time and energy on that demographic. Her time is very precious and many women really need her services, whereas there are numerous obgyns that are great at taking care of lady biz. That's not discriminatory, just as a doctor who only works with patients with a particular disease, isn't discriminatory. Also, I started seeing her at 42. They did ask if I wanted children, I said yes, but they did not turn me down based on my age. Not only that, but They are always warm and encouraging. Unfortunately, during my visit this month, it's pretty much determined that I will not be able to have children. I have another visit with her, but due to this news, I will not take another woman's spot to have the chance of a lifetime. . I know it felt icky to be told you're out of the age bracket, but please consider the women who really need her expertise. She's wonderful. Dr Landay is a wonderful doctor! She is caring and comforting, and she's funny -which is a plus in my book. On my first visit, she did a full intake in her office. At the tine, I was having severe thyroid problems, but didn't know it yet. I was just experiencing exhaustion and looking like a crazy person. Even with my matted hair (didn't know until I saw a friend later that day) she treated me with respect and care. I seen her twice since. She had always been lovely. I highly recommend her! I believe the most important reviews are healthcare reviews, as these are the keys to our wellbeing. 8

I tried to set up an appointment to see Dr. Landay as she listed as a Gynecologist and Obstetrics doctor only to discover that she will not see or service women who ARE NOT of reproductive years and have passed a certain age. This seems discriminatory. Why bother to list herself as a gynecologist? The staff at her office were adamant about not scheduling me to see her and kept on about her only wanting to see younger patients who can produce or have problems trying to produce a child. Why is she a doctor?
Exactly two days ago I had called to make an appointment due to Infertility and the receptionist actually had the guts to ask my age and tell me that I was too old to see the doctor and didn't even apologize nor seemed to care about what she was saying. I know that is age discrimination. So ladies if you're in your 40's this doctor will discriminate to seeing you. That goes to show that she is not a good doctor to begin with because, if she was good she would be willing to see patients in their older age. You don't need a place nor a doctor like this!
I've waited 5 weeks for an appointment and just received a call that my appointment scheduled for next week needs to be rescheduled to a later date. And the next available appointment is not for another 2-3 weeks during the middle of the day (so I would now need to take time off work also). I understand things happen, but the receptionist said this could happen again for the next appointment. That surgeries take priority and can happen at any time. I'm sorry but my time is valuable to me and I can't wait 5 weeks for an appointment just to have it rescheduled time and time again. Would have loved to come here based on reviews, but I'm sure I'll find someone else just as competent.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
