I want to preface my comments by saying this is not criticism; it is concern. Dr. Fallas seems caring, is professional, and has a nice "bedside manner," but on the day of the surgery, his behavior seemed odd, which other people also noticed. After the surgery, there were unusual life-threatening complications. Problems can happen no matter how good a surgeon is, however, the coincidence left me with some doubts.

Left with internal lacerations and infection. Great person but not for me.

This doctor doesn't take the time to explain why you need the surgery, what are the side effects, doesn't try to listen to you nor understand you. Zero care. Avoid at all costs!

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or outcome. Dr. Fallas and surgical team at Cedars took excellent care of me. I’m 7 days post laparoscopic splenectomy today and 100% mobile, pain-free, and thrilled that I’ve been able to entirely avoid pain medication in the process. My wounds are healing beautifully. It’s hard to believe a week ago i was on the table. Highly recommend!

I had an appointment today with Dr Fallus to get a second opinion for a possible surgery. Before I arrived, he had thoroughly studied my records. Although I had been told by another surgeon why I needed surgery, Dr Fallus told me why surgery would not be helpful for me. He made a lot of sense. He was so nice and personable. I have never had a surgeon tell me not to do surgery. I really appreciate his honesty and integrity. He made my day!

Last year, Dr. Fallas identified an inguinal hernia. He recommended a laparoscopic repair. Dr. Fallas entrapped my lateral femoral cutaneous nerve with a spike intended to affix a hernia mesh to surrounding tissue. This means the doctor put a spike into one of the larger nerves in the body, which runs from the spine/hip to the knee. No pain I’ve ever experienced remotely compares to the pain that came from this nerve damage. I could not walk, stand, sleep, or move without excruciating pain. The doctor recommended a second surgery to fix his mistake. To add insult to injury, I still had to pay for medical costs related to the second surgery--something that is odd and offensive given the doctor made huge mistakes and caused the harm in the first place, and was only conducting the second surgery to fix his error.

I'm biased.  Dr. Fallas saved my life.  I was brought into the Cedars-Sinai Emergency Room with a perforated colon.  Dr. Fallas was called in to perform emergency surgery.  He performed brilliantly.  I would have died otherwise.  His follow-up was careful and competent.  Good guy.  His colleagues call him "Mo."

To say that Dr Moses Fallas is one of the best surgeons in the country in an understatement. I grew up in medicine. My father and uncles we're all exceptional physicians. My best friend Dr Spencer Holover is one of the best bariatric surgeons in the country. I know what great is. It is not just Dr Fallas' skill as a surgeon that makes him one of the best, but his attitude toward his patients. He comes with joy, positivity and the unerring belief that all will be ok and work out well.This is the X factor. In a time when docs are tired and fed up, rightfully so, with the way the system is being run, he continues to bring his A game. I walked away from the surgery with minimal pain and his work was perfection. I laud this man and his staff Rene and Dianna for making this difficult situation work out with grace and positivity.May the angels continue to shine on you and the work you tirelessly do for patients.Kudos Dr FallasAnthony
